Tavistock average gate of 50 was boosted to around 400-500 mostly r's, 8-0 against at best a very mediocre team, Mackie was excellent for the 45-mins he played, but jeez Clarke will have to improve, he was rank

Sheff Wed fans that I know were laughing when they heard we had got him.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.
But hang on, some fans have been convinced that he has changed and Warno the magician will turn him into the next hooper who can lead a one man attack as he will have such excellent service ("our secret weapon", "could be the 20 goal a season striker" etc. Lol)...

Personally I will wait until the season is under way until I start making judgements on any player, new signing or not

dont think many rated clarke before hand.
but to his credit and even you must admit.. he was well overweight at sheff wednesday. but now looks slimmer, fitter which can only benefit the team..
not saying slimfast will get us promoted but in clarkes case he is helping himself. whereas many others like vine / agyemang of last season wouldnt give a crap
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"
one thing you all seem to have missed is HH still did not score even against Tavistock
Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless
The thing is, some poster think it's funny to take everything out of context with things like 'don't worry, wonderful Warnock is a magician' blah, blah, blah. Simple fact is, NONE of us felt Clarke was that good, yet a few just asked to give the guy a chance. Something our fans rarely do. Sad really as these sort of players will never settle when we just abuse and boo them.
Anyway, regardless of it being Tavistock, there are still 11 players. Players who can be difficult to play against just because of how rubbish they are. Their lack of positional sense can get in the way, so 8-0 is still a nice turn out for a pre-season game. Glad to see Mackie did well too. Not surprised about Clarke, but it's still early days yet.
Yeah i agree, we got to give Clarke a chance, but knowing what its like at LR, a lot of fans will get on his back as soon as he misses a decent chance.
never abuse or boo the players as that just doesnt do any good. Now if the Board dont spend a decent amount of money in the next few weeks before the season then them i will be abusing.....get there early and wait for them to get out of their chauffeur driven cars and watch their faces when they get a volley :-)
