During the entire pre-season last season we all speculated on here about spending money and signing some decent players and what happened no-one came (permanent.) In the end we were very nearly relegated (had we kept Hart we'd now be in Div 1)
So far during this pre-season it has been the same. We have signed 2 non goalscoring forwards and 2 average veterans and a decent keeper. Don't give me this rubbish about only being July, we have already missed out on a top forward in Boyd who I think will score plenty in this division, and likely to miss out on another in Hooper. If he goes to Boro as well they are likely to be a top side next year. Lita, Hooper, Boyd vs Clarke, Agyemang and Vine. mmmm
What is really going on? There are a number of players available that will do a really good job for us and put us in with a shout of promotion. I don't think we are too far away. Assuming that Tarabt and Simpson will not sign for us if you took their goals and assists from our stats last season we would be in severe trouble. That is what is likely.
