Pre season is for getting match fit and trying different things in matches where the score doesn't matter. However, pre season has become a bit distorted with games taking on a different meaning, like playing bigger teams you won't normally come up against and trying to either beat them or humiliate lesser ones.RIP: Doug, Sniffer and Pat

i think its f ucking ridiculous with the standard of ALL the teams we are playin pre season. should start off playin the likes of non league & then build up gradually the standard in the opposition. fitness is all well & good but you need to be tested in pre season instead of strolling thru crap teams all the way thru.
warnocks teams always seem to start off sluggish......i wonder why!!!!!!!!!!

I would have liked one big game at Loftus Road just for a good crowd and party atmosphere more than anything.
I think the argument goes that if we played Spurs and they ran rings around us and we hardly have possession than we learn nothing from it and the whole exercise is useless for the coaching staff and our young players are left demoralised. Not my argument but the argument put forward by Warnock, I believe.
