FIFA have a lot to answer for. The ball has ruined the tournament and stopped every countrys free kick experts from adding the glamour goals that light up a game. Every now and then someone like Van Bronkhurst manages to do something special but it is the exception rather than the rule. Every goalkeeper is petrified when a shot comes in as the ball is so unpredictable, some keepers have got lucky like the German and many have been caught out. The other thing this WC has proved is that a change in the thoughts about technology is a must, but we all know Blatter and FIFA won't take any notice.

its a rangers forum mate, we are talking a mob of people who boo one of the most skilfull and talented players that has ever put on the shirt. (not saying nayone on here booed him, but you can see the pattern)
so its not hard to see that nothings ever gonna be any good or ever will be.

Regarding the ball. Don't think it's just a co-incidence that Germany are playing so much better than anyone else. Adidas is a German company and they've been playing with it in the Bundeslinga all last season. Not the sole reason they are in the semis but certainly a factor as other quality players are really struggling with it.

I actually think this world cup has proved that if you play positively then you will progress. The 4 semi finalists all deserved to b there imo.
If England finally hold the tournament I don't see it making it easier for us to succeed.
Younger squads such as the germans have shown us to trust in talent and youngstersI blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles
