im not taking the bait again,last time i did with you my thread was deleted because YOU posted insults to me and other members and Quaz ended the thread.I have no intention in getting into a slagging match with you,as i have said to you several times in the past,your opinion of me and my posts are meaningless to me,so

See, that's a little unfair too mate. The amount of s**t you lot give him for getting things wrong just provokes him to highlight when he's right. Trust me...It's all done in jest. All he's doing is passing on info that he hears. It's exactly what I've been doing lately...A few right and a few wrong, but it won't stop me.

The truth is, most people have jumped on the bandwaggon in blaming Pete over Sousa. Before this happened, Pete always posted rumours and his success rate was never fantastic. People knew this and although they gave him a bit of banter, it was always in jest. Since PS's departure, things have gotten far more personal and vindictive towards Pete. This is noted by how often posters feel the need to dig him out. He hardly posts these days due to other commitments, yet his name is dragged up every day.

I'm not at all championing Pete as I have many disagreements with him over certain opinions. All I'm doing is pointing out a few truths.

I saw your comments on transfers some time ago,noted and that was it.

The problem with Pete's infor is different from yours.You sate what you hear and move on.Pete will say....it's nailed on...or 2 this week..or other comments and then when it doesn't happen, will just come up and say flippantly " oh well- thats life in the transfer market "

Well...in all honestly, we could all do that.The Ched Evans transfer could have been reported differently.

I have heared we are interested in Ched Evans,just a rumour.Not, it's nailed on sitting in path paying with an action man.

No disrespect to Pete - but i'm afraid it's a bit like the Ronaldo situation.Some times he gets fouled and no free kicks are awarded due to his past antics.

This is a good site and Pete and Co do a grand job of bringing it to us. Spencer is right that things are often reported in the wrong way and, by now, the nailed on fact brigade really should know they are going to get coated off when things don't happen so maybe they should do it a bit differently? However, some that also throw in rumours - not itk, 100% bang on and the like often get flack from some accusing them of being wannabe itk's - so frankly why bother. I hear stuff due to my involvement in the game, but have never posted any of it - all from sound/reliable sources and hey, guess what, a lot of it happens and a lot more doesn't because things do change in football. Best way to be is sit tight and watch where your info takes you, smile quietly and move on.

Pete's style is brash and often contoversial - if he were a news hound he would fit in at the Sun or NOTW - he would not get hammered by his bosses the following week if a story turned out to be sensationalism because he sold some covers and kept the readership's appetites whet - that's the job those guys do.

What Pete does is for "fun" (as in not his job) and we need to treat it more like fun than excuse to throw him to the lions

Majority of people who post on internet lie.When i first posted on the old messageboard and met the fans for the first time in the Connie they were shocked.

I said i was mid 30's , looks like Brad Pitt Body like..who ever loads of money 10 inch... boy were they dissapointed when i turned up..

Totally agree, that's really sad, hoping that if they are right more people will like them.

And re 'Majority of people who post on the internet lie' that's probably true too and they are probably the same people who put the info on Wikipedia in the first place so the liars are only reading info written by likeminded people, which isn't always true, so who is right?

But that's just the way Pete opperates mate. He's a good bloke and far from this nasty creature some would have you believe. He's helped me out on several ocassions in the past and I can't thank him enough. He's a very good mate to have around.

With the rumours, no one has to listen. Many do and set themselves up for a fall...Then, when a poster starts a thread asking when these things will happen, you get the same 'And you believe Pete's ITK' or 'Pete knows less than nothing' type of replies. Just because someone wishes to believe Pete doesn't mean we need to bring him into it. If anything, it should be the person asking the questions that you should be looking to...

Agreed, it can be annoying, but again...We don't have to believe them. There are posters on here who annoy the crap out of me, but I don't get involved in debates with those. I literally just ignore them as I do not have any interest in what they have to say. Some make out this is how they feel about Pete's posts, yet they continue to get involved in personal swipes.

I can't change the world and I don't wish to, but I like to point out the irony and contradiciveness in some fans posts as they say one thing, yet fall foul of their own advice in their own posts.

I really don't want this turning into a love/hate Pete debate at all mate, so forgive me if I'm sounding a little over protective. I'm just trying to point out my observations.
