Lets hope we dont chase the likes of Nugent, Philips etc. From the list posted by 'qpr' only Chopra or Simpson would do. We need a little more quality
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

would take Nugent or Phillips over simpson anyday, really cant see what people see in him. bow legged and disinterested a lot of the time. Chopra would be absolute quality for us but will be out of our price range.

Out of our price range and yet Cardiff bought him , a team reportedly close to liquidation.... And why is he exactly out of our price range..

the fact that they are close to liquidation might have something to do with them spending way too much on players. £4m is unrealistic for us, but no reason why we can't get a couple of good strikers for a million/ millian and a half.

see what stainrod has said, hit the nail on the head. some are expecting us to splash 3/4 mill on one player & it aint ever gonna happen. me personally would be happy with the likes of Henderson(sheff utd) & maclean( posh) as a front pairing, wont cost the earth & think they would compliment each other really well.

Happy with Nugent. Happier with Beattie. Happier still with Kitson. And whilst I agree with the comments about not divorcing our ambitions as supporters from the financial realities (or owners), I have to say that £4m or even £10m or £15m (you het the picture) to get us promoted is good business. Even if we can down after one season the parachute payments are now £48m. WBA have that sussed. Possibly Newcastle too. Burnley look to have grasped it. Boro waking up to it..... the list goes on. The dosh is in the Prem. Even failure from it pays.

OK. I like your thinking. You and me. Shooters in the Board room before the Barnsley Game. That ought to do it.

But the flip side of the coin is failure in the championship - when you've shot your bolt trying to get out of it, as we did the first year we were relegated from the premiership -can lead to virtual oblivion. Think you need to tread a middle course - have to invest to try to go up, but spend too much and the downsides are massive - even if they are always ignored by fans until it is too late.
