Something makes me think she was abused as a child for her to seek danger in her relationships in the way she does, classic signs.
My cousin had a bird who was doing that brain mumbo jumbo degree at Uni.I was about 19 at the time and me mum had been married twice etc.Anyway we all out and with a few other Gooner mates of his and birds and she says we all used to fight etc cos of a need to be accepted as of the missing father figure,blah blah blah.
The current other half is a Doctor in Psychology who specialises in such cases. Women who have been abused tend to put themselves in dangerous relationships even though they know it's wrong. They lack self confidence and accept that this is what they deserve from life. They often blame themselves for things that have happened in the past, explaining that they let it happen etc. She also states that 90% of abuse cases go unreported and that people live with it for life and don't even tell family members through fear of the consequences.
A little deep I know but shocking the level at which it occurs.

Well, if I'm honest. And a subject comes up about whether we should sign Callum Davenport, I certainly wasn't expecting that.
