  • Players are back today- who will be out of shape??

    Usual suspects I suppose.

    Stewart?
    Vine?
    Hogan?
    Buzacksey?
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

I dont think their agents are stupid enough to let them get out of shape as they will know NW's ways, but if they are and the players have ignored the fact NW is the 'Gene Hunt' of pre-season training, they deserve to suffer and be shipped out asap.

None of the back four had a great deal of shape at all last season so can only get better

Helguson will be well out of shape. He looks at fat fu ck throughout the season.

I remember him in pre season looking like the pie man.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Captain Chris is naturally chubby but because of his poor diet he will probably have to shed a few stone.

"During pre-season Carl, if anything, tries to calm me down. He has all these modern techniques and wires across the players' chests.

"He'll be telling me, 'That's it now boss, they can't do any more.' And I'll say: 'Carl, I'm telling you - they can!'

"We have disagreements every now and again, but it's healthy to have that."
