  • Didn't like any of it much. I was always resentful of the OTT "Cup Final" approach to what is basically a sort of league game between teams who finish the season well behind some other teams in what is afterall the third tier of league football. I especially resented the Cup Final style admission prices - think I paid £40? Thought stadium was very overated and atmosphere was too echoey and frankly flat. The game was pants, the pre-match entertainment was ****e and the locals were basically ****. All in all it was a million times inferior to the semi with Oldham at LR. All of my above views would hold true even if we'd have got the late winner and not them. S'pose you could say I'm looking back with "dirt-tinted" glasses on! I do think some of you are a bit too rose-tinted in your memories... maybe the reality is somewhere in the middle?

          • I would like to point out that, contrary to popular belief, we returned about 1000 tickets of our allocation.

I was there though, with about 8 others.

            • Great sing song before the game met some old faces I hadn't seen for years.

The feeling of emptiness and emotional desolation on the walk back to the car and passing a load of p***ed taffs who i couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge.

              • Yes I was there with my new Shirt, Coach load of us from Basingstoke. I remember my Cousin appearing in the exec boxes and waving at us. He walked round the concourse at half time, did not get checked by anyone and walked straight into someones box!

                        • Went on the Bircham family coach from Hemel, broke down half way down there. Had to get lifts from other R's that pulled over to help. Not a great game. Long journey home. Wales is a s**thole full of sheep sh**gers.

I was there and I remember having to walk past all the w*nker **** going back to the coaches afterwards. Who planned the coach pick-up points?

Was amazing to see that many R's fans though, what a sight.

                              • awful day - my boy got knicked - had to troll round Cardiff in a stretch limo from one nick to the next trying to locate him - cos he was under 18 had to attend the youth court - took 3 journeys from Scotland - cost me near on £900 with the limo waiting times and the journeys to and from court - but we did manage to get the case dismissed - have had an obsessive hatred for all things Welsh ever since and that was without the 1.0 robbery - not being able to sing the nation anthem and listening to some Welsh bint warbling on the pitch prematch and the dogs abuse off the inbreds afterwards i case say with all honesty I THOROUGHLY HATE THE ##### ! !
