    I was there

Can only remember being abused on the way to/from the ground by the locals

Tommy williams not crossing the ball and that ginger bloke scoring for them

    Oh and the white kit

I remember the atmos in the pub near the ground. Wall to wall Rangers, huge flags and banners everywhere. Fantastic.

I remember drinking outside the castle in the centre of town and hearing a massive cheer as somehow some rangers got to the top of the castle and replaced the flag with a rangers flag! The rest of the day i'd rather forget

I remember the day well. My uncle drove my dad, brother and I. That morning my mum was making our lunch. You could smell the fresh crusty bread in the oven. We had fillings and some had smoke salmon some chicken and some cheese. My mum then took out fresh sausages rolls, it was all looking very good. Then my uncle turned up late but he said 'don't worry about the lunch I have it'! We arrived at the ground, but we ended up accidently walking through the cardiff section. We went past a few cardiff fans in pubs and got hurled threats. We somehow then lost the escort with the r's fans. A nice old cardiff fan said we should get out quick and sent us in the right direction, to join our fellow r's. Half time I thought the lads looked good, solid at the back and played some nice stuff. I was very impressed with Gallen on that day. We all felt very hungry so we asked my uncle for our lunch. He then pulls out these Soft squashed white baps. They looked disgusting. I just had the sight in my head of all that lovely fresh food we had at home. I then took a bite which was a mistake. I should of had a spoon. The baps were drenched and dripping because they had been sat on and the tomato's saturated the roll and was pouring out. I threw mine on the floor. He did not see this and asked me if I wanted another 1. I gave the look of disgust. My dad brother and I was so disappointed and felt quite sick. The result also gave me that sick taste back at the end of the game. I felt we had been robbed, as we was the better side on the day. The journey home was hard work. What could of been a great day with a good lunch and great result couldn't have been anymore opposite. U R'S!!!

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Still the best stadium I've ever watched a football game in for view and atmosphere. In the middle tier, the view was amazing. Far, far better than Wembley, Camp Nou, San Siro, Old Trafford or the Emirates.

Took the slow stopping train from Southampton and was just amazed to see how many R's were getting along the way. Picking up hoops in Salisbury, Trowbridge, Bath until the tiny train was jammed packed by the time you got to Bristol.

I remember saying to my Dad near the end of extra time that I was convinced we'd win the penalty shoot out. D'oh!

              Andy Campbell, you cad...............

I remember standing outside one of the pubs chatting to one of the local coppers saying this must be a nightmare wkend for them, nd remember them saying, yes the best result for them would be a late cardiff winner then the locals would all stay in the ground and we would all get back to london asap! little did he know how accurate that was, i think i was back at the car before the fireworks!

                  hammer was there,my memories:

the big fleet of coaches down bloemfontein rd.

the crowded service stations along the way.

the good luck qpr banners on the bridges along the m4.

the great crack drinking with all you lads b4 the game.

the sight of seeing so many rrrsss in the ground.

                  tommy williams/andy campbell.

the noise the scum created at the final whistle.

the walk back to the coaches seeing so many sad rrrss faces.

the horrible cardiff fans making gestures at us as we went home, even women and kids were at it.

the solemn pubs in hammersmith when we got back.

I stayed over with a few friends in Bristol the day before in a Choice Hotel. Remember a big pub "cannot remember name) opposite the ground. Surreal day, and I don't really like the big stadium. If only Tommy Williams crosses the ball!! Saw Gavin Peacock after the game and remember the shopping centre being like a a ghost town, but some poor Cardiff city copped it from a few Rangers fans.

Getting the bus back to the car park and many fans saying next year, will be our year.

We will be putting highlights of that season up over the weekend.

Stayed with a amate in Northampton and he drove down.
into Yates for beers..doormen needing ID as that pub was for Rangers only,my Norn Iron Address confused them a bit.
                      great stadium,trays of beer.
Tommy Williams.Dan and Clarke mix up,oh dear.
i fancied Daisy to save a few pens as well.
                      Cardiff fans ****s to a man....crap winners.
long drive back to meet up with daughter at Ealing.

still, another memorable day in my Rangers travels....sigh

                        Remember the day very well...

Few days before I went to the costume shop by Hayes Station (now gone) to get some blue spray for my hair and some blue and white make up that my mum wanted. And then had an argument with the mrs. ;D She'd been in South Africa for a few months working out in the townships and was flying back into to Heathrow on, yep, final day. I had to explain to her that despite the fact she'd been overseas for months that I couldn't and wouldnt miss the play-off final! At least that set a precedent for the rest of our relationship as she knows where she stands ;D

Anyway, got to my mum and dads early doors and met up with the family and some friends. Hair coloured Bircham stylee, everyone else had their face painted, car had scarves sorted for the windows and a flag for the back.

All the way up the motorway it was cars tooting each other, people waving at each other. It was as if every car on the M4 was full of Rangers..and then we stopped at the service station...now that was a good craic! Singing, drinking, chatting..absolutely brilliant. Remember thinking West London must be like a ghost town.

Oh and as someone else said I bumped into Richard Langley too..outside the ground...got a pick somewhere.

The less said about the game or the way the locals and indeed local police acted (or didnt act in the polices case) the better.

                        Longest journey home ever.

                            I was there.
Flew in to Bristol and drove up. I remember all the R's on the motorway and at the service station on the way. The fantastic noise and support on the stadium. Shouting pass it to Tommy Williams
The heartbreak when they scored and will never forget the abuse we got going back down to the car.
Always wondered what happened to a couple of local that where standing outside a pub (were not even at the game) who very abusive towards a gang of Hoops. When a few of Hoops walk over the bouncers at the pub closed the doors leaving the big mouthed thugs stranded. They bolted down the street with about 50 R's fans legging it after them! Very funny sight ;D

Flew over from Ireland with "Air Wales", the plane had about 40 seats, 20 were empty and the other 20 had Rs everywhere. The lovely trolley dolly sat down and chatted with supporters on the flight over.

Cardiff Airport bit of a dump.

                                Out singing the Cardiff supporters.

In the hotel bar that night after we were robbed in the game and the Cardiff fans were all over the place but in fairness we had a bit of crack with them on the night.
