McDermott: There has been no interest in Reading FC's McAnuff
    By Matthew Sadler

    June 30, 2010

Brian McDermott has dismissed reports that Reading have turned down a bid from Championship rivals QPR for Jobi McAnuff.

It was rumoured that the west London side had offered a fee in the region of £1.5million for the former Wimbledon, West Ham United, Cardiff City, Crystal Palace and Watford winger, but McDermott insists he has had no contact with QPR.

He said: "I don’t know anything about that – it’s not true. We will take every transfer on its own merit, but there has been no interest at all."

Wokingham is an attractive market town with excellent road and rail links. Good schools and low levels of crime make the town attractive to families and residents who enjoy a high quality of life.

I promise I'm not having a dig, but how did you come up with that conclusion ?
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
