PREMIER LEAGUE 2011 - ETERNITY (Oh well got that wrong, we'll be back though)
-
he is a good player for united, not england.
difference is utd play rubbish teams every game except 6 a year in the league. Refs turn a blind eye to his antics. He plays with better players at UTD and he isn't shackled by the pressure our media whip up.
He cannot handle high pressure sutuations. Utd fans never get on his back. He is no where near the top players in the world - never has been.
...oh and the reason he scores in the premier league is because the defenders are Terry, Upson etc...useless.
Even the French ministers have blamed the Premier League's ethic of greed and individualism for their failure.

No, Rooney is not a world class player, none of England's players are anywhere near world class.
We always do this on the world stage, 1966 had to be the fluke of all flukes, we just do not have the mentality that is needed to go hand in hand with good natural ability.
Today's players are too money-oriented, pampered, prima donnas. Whatever anyone of them says, playing for their country is not high on their list of priorities, as performances from all of them in this tournament have proved.
How on earth can you not want to show the whole world just how good you are, unless you really aren't what you're cracked up to be?
For the European championship qualifiers, perhaps Capello, if he's still boss, should think of looking outside the box a bit more, because I'm sure there would have been a few English born players in the championship that would have put in a hell of a better shift in this world cup, than the likes of Rooney, Terry, and Gerrard did.
I know people will say that Gerrard should have been in the middle, but he showed he could play out left against Algeria, it just boils down to mentality, and all those English players who let the nation down today, have all the mentality of a soggy cabbage.
