Can only talk to teams outside England and Wales on January 1. He can't technically talk to clubs in this country until his contract expires.

The key word there is "technically".

          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
          And many more mistakes

Ok so he's not coming, i always thought the longer it dragged on the less likely it was gonna happen, who knows maybe he will but as another poster said there are still 4 weeks to go when the world cup ends.
I believe that things will all start to move after the WC is finished as everyone seems to be concentrated on that at the mo and players and agents alike will be looking at the new season as their priority.

            NPower Champions 2010/2011

PREMIER LEAGUE 2011 - ETERNITY (Oh well got that wrong, we'll be back though)

Warnock admits defeat in Ambrose bid

Bravo Warnock!!: Warnock admits defeat in Ambrose bid

Neil Warnock will now turn to other targets after finally admitting defeat in signing Crystal Palace winger Ambrose.

Oh well, thats that over with now, hopefully now we can put this saga behind us and move on with other targets.

Darren is expected to sign a longer term contract at Palace in the near future.

Ambrose is apparently very happy to be working with George Burley again.

Hopefully we can sign some decent players from a decent club, not rag #### rovers Palace.
