..to the ko of the new season and only 21 to the pre-season friendlies.

I know I've been often labelled a pessimist but can see no evidence to give rise to any optimism.
Rumours were rife on this site regarding a £10-15m war chest and Warnock saying he wanted to get in up to 9 players to gell in time the start of the season.

Whilst we hang on for news of the likes of Ambrose and acquire the "talents" of Clarke,Mackie and possibly Hill,I can see very little difference in life under Briatore and the new lot.
We've lost the services of Taarabt,Routledge and Simpson,yet we're charged top dollar for ST's and match day tickets(sixth highest in the country,let alone the Championship).

I'd like nothing more than someone to come up with sound news of decent signings,particularly strikers,and say "Oh ye of little faith" but I personally can't see it happening.Until I do,I'll continue in my occasional negativity which is sad after 58 years of loyal support.Ban me if you like,you don't have to read my posts.

This is QPR we're talking about, maybee £2-3m if we're lucky. I still believe there is more to come, and a loan or two.

On the contrary really,most of the other sites,QPR revolution,scotts site ect are saying the same thing,ie how uninspiring the transfer have been so far.I posted a "optimistic " thread last month stating how upbeat i was with transfer targets,i was given several names,including Hooper,Tarrabt and Ambrose which got me excited,now it appears NONE of these will happen and the "new" names i have been given(sorry i know this will **** people off,but im not allowed tell)DO NOT excite me one bit......cheap and cheerful it appears from here on in:angry:

I put this thread as a "realistic" one rather than a "negative" one.

As we are right now we won't finish any higher than last season. We have a better manager that might gain us a few places but we'll lose them again as the 3 players we have brought in aren't as good as the loanees we no longer have.

47 days to go - alot can happen in that time.
When that time is up and the big ko happens and still no decent signings then and only then should the moaning and "lack of ambition" comments be heard. Even then, as NW said, he's trying to build a good team spirit in the camp, even so called uninspiring signing might well come up trumps. Fact is, only six to ten games into the new season can we get an idea of how qpr will do this season - with inspired signings or not.

47 days to go to make 5 or 6 quality signings if we are serious about promotion......need a LB, a RW, a RB and 2 quality strikers at least. Need to spend a few million to get them too......
I doubt whether Amit and the board truly have the commitment and ambition to ensure promotion next season and instead are prepared to gamble on the "Warnock effect" on the mediocre average players we have and have added too with the likes of Clarke etc....
In other words they are gonna try to do it on the cheap...
Hope I'm wrong and we spend a few million in a couple of weeks :-)
