  • Forest fansite seems to think...

Unconfirmed reports are suggesting that Nottingham Forest have completed deals that will see Aston Villa defender Nicky Shorey and Swansea City midfielder Darren Pratley, join the club for the beginning of the 2010/11 campaign.

Nicky Shorey is expected to be unveiled as a permanent signing for a fee of around £850,000. Pratley is also expected to be another permanent signing at around £1.75m. Both players have been long term targets of the club and will be seen as essential appointments in what will be a serious push for promotion next term.

Both players will be viewed as key appointments for the club, but this will only be the start of a summer spend, that could see another 5 quality additions to the squad.

Forest showed ambition in the market last season and I see them doing the same this. Speculate to accumulate as the saying goes. Wish we were more like them but there is still a long way to go.

they are a good example about how to go about it. they will be right up there next season.

why cant we just spend a little? it would make a huge difference to our chances. why cant the owners see this?

shorey at 850,000 is a steal!

What's it got to do with Amit? From what we are told the money is available, if Warnock only ants to sign player like Derry then that's his choice!

Its Warnock's choice and we are relying on his management skills to get the best of players, its obvious we are not going to break the bank or even spend the equvilant of Forest then again they are a much bigger club.

well if it is available then i expect Warnock to be spending it between now and the start of the season
if he doesnt then we know that its ######## and he hasnt been given any money ...so i guess we will see

??? so Warnock has money available (but not the kind of money Forest have available even tho their owners are not in the same financial league as ours) and deems not to spend it?
                          smells like ######## too me
WHY is Warnock in his own words "gambling" on players to come good when our owners could easily chuck him 10 million to go out and buy some decent ones? easy.......no commitment...no ambition.....

So you think a club that sells just over 6,000 season tickets should be spending millions?

I know where you are coming from in terms of the owners wealth, but realsitically we are good position to build and I suspect thats what we will do

You don't think that's one of the reasons why we only sells just over 6,000 season tickets? I'm amazed so many have renewed when there's no ambition whatsoever showed so far.
