Just remember Mullers goal in the 1974 final which was the only game i watched as England weren't in it. Like Pete best memories are of 1978 with all that ticker-tape and bog rolls!!.
'We want our money back' sung by the Scots was blinding!!
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

              '78 for me too.

Was allowed to stay up late for the Italy games (my Mum and family are all Sardinian - along with Bowles and Givens, Roberto Bettega and Bruno Conti were my heroes) - watched some others sneakily on a b&w portable in my brothers room. Kicked off about 10pm IIRC. Vividly remember watching the Scotland game v Iran in there and also that Brazil game where Clive Thomas ruled out a goal as he blew the final whistle in between the time a corner was taken and headed in by the Brazilian centre forward.

The confetti and the bog rolls from the top of Bombonera and Monumental were something else. Never seen the like before.

Germany(Muller,Beckenbauer) and Holland(Cruyff,Rensenbrink) in the 74. And my alltime favourites by far; Argentia in 1978. Kempes,Leopoldo Luque,Daniel Bertoni. UHMMMMMMMMMMM
Peru was also a team I liked. Teofilo Cubillias and the winger Ortiz(?)
Gary Lineker was also beaty to watch fotballwize. What a modelpro!! AND a revelation as a striker.
