Mackie's initial fee is quite a bit less than that. I reckon it is no more than £250-300k. Which means QPR have spent around £1M - well short of the rumoured £10M spending spree.

So with Derry and Hill supposed to join on frees and another £750K deal for Ambrose, that would still leave Warnock with more than enough money to buy a good goalscorer (Hooper, Chopra), Taarabt and two recognised full backs, but I wont hold my breath!!
