Can we not just get a normal English manager like everyone else does? Someone we can pretty much all be pleased with, someone we have faith with. There are always too many ifs and buts

Because English managers aren't very good?

Top 6 in the premiership - Scottish, Spanish, French, Dutch, Irish, Scottish.

      Bottom 3 - All English

Automatically promoted from the Championship - Irish and Scottish
Playoffs - Coppell and Blackwell are English - Coyle and Irvine are Scottish
We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are...

Sir Alex is british and ok he is hard to understand he talks the same language so when we say english manager we do include british and irish because they speak the same language hench why we don't want italian or french etc so don't knit pick thanks!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I was replying to someone who asked for a 'normal English manager'.

So read the thread before getting on your high horse.

Not necesarily English, but British. The top 6 of the premiership is a different story. They are workign with top class players in the best league in the world. We are in a scrappy division where we need to fight and get out of it. If we become a top 6 premiership club one day, thats great, but we need to get out of this division first, and im not convinced a foreign manager without experience here is the answer. Just my opinion, but would be interesting to see what the players think.

I think we need a manager who can speak English. Whether he has to BE English was my point of contention.

No, I'm not - if you really want me to, the word is 'nitpicking'

Nitpicking is the act of removing nits (the eggs of lice, generally head lice) from the host's hair. As the nits are cemented to individual hairs, they cannot be removed with lice combs and, before modern chemical methods were invented, the only options were to shave all the host's hair or to pick them free one by one.
This is a slow and laborious process, as the root of each individual hair must be examined for infestation. It was largely abandoned as modern chemical methods became available; however, as lice populations can and do develop resistance, manual nitpicking is still often necessary.
As nitpicking inherently requires fastidious, meticulous attention to detail, the term has become appropriated to describe the practice of meticulously searching for minor, even trivial errors in detail (often referred to as "nits" as well), and then criticising them (see nitpicking (pastime)).

Thanks for the mental health advice. Like getting tap dancing lessons from Stephen Hawking.
