    Very fair.

Just my opinion here, but there seems to be a little bit too much of people jumping to wild conclusions from afar, based on nothing in particular - other than what's happened under other regimes and managers... and then stating their thoughts as fact.

I'd like to see a few top players signed too, who the f**k doesn't??
But the fact that there are still 8 weeks to go before a ball is kicked, and League Football is basically on holiday right now, still doesn't seem to register.

It's like the kids in the back of the car on their holidays, shouting "are we nearly there yet?" every 5 minutes. And we haven't got even off our drive yet.

People are making predictions, based on f**k all... and then having a daily moan, based on that prediction.
It's too early, and its laughable.
What a brilliant poster Goddard is!

SM welcome back and already looking forward to next seasons match reports.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Sorry to challenge the consensus but there are a lot of sheep-like attitudes being expressed here. Yes, Goddard is clearly bright, literate and possibly well informed and I also enjoy reading his posts; but there is also a slight arrogance which seems to say "I know something you don't know. There will be some big signings. Stop your moaning." (Apologies if I have characterised your position wrongly and you are saying something different to this, and I have simply missed it.)

With respect Goddard and Sir Pie etc you ignore the point that we have basically signed rubbish - and while this might indeed be the sponge before the addition of the jam, there is absolutely no evidence that we will be bringing in any jam. So all those who are a little dismissive of the sceptics - and I speak as one who used to believe - should perhaps be a little less patronising. All those who don't necessarily buy the fact that Warno is about to bring about a brave new dawn on a shoe string are not necessarily total cretins, and in a humble way I ask you to respect that honestly expressed point of view. Even Pete is now deeply, deeply sceptical and last season he was like Pravda - so at least, please, recognise that there are two legitimate points of you.

                Thankyou.

Just to clear this one up, sharpish.

I know f**k all about what Neil Warnock is planning. I don't pretend to be "ITK", unlike one or two on here.

My stance on this (daily) debate is crystal clear... I have no reason to believe that the current board at QPR are full of ########, and making false promises about investing in the team etc.. That might change come august.
All I'm saying - and have said it dozens of times over the past few weeks, is that I think it's too early to be dishing out stick to them, and making claims that they are "tight, and lacking ambition" or that there will be a summer of disappointment ahead. I'm not saying you've said that, but some have.

I have also said that everyone is entitled to their opinion about what they think will happen over the next 8 weeks, and the season beyond.
But I am also entitled to put an alternative point of view to the daily doom and gloom posts... and I only do that because I genuinely believe that Warnock and the new owners will do what they can to turn my team into one that will compete at the right end of the league next season.
Until I see proper evidence otherwise, meaning that we start the season with a team that was as spineless, messy and pony as the one that played most of last season - I wont change my mind.

If we do go the summer without adding a few more decent players to the squad, then I'll be the first to have a good old moan about it. But I think it's too soon to do that now.
I don't blindly follow the owners of QPR, and take it up the ar*e from them... I stood and demonstrated outside the ground after the Scunny game - because I'd had enough of being treated like a c**t by Briatore and his little gang of poodles/amateurs.

I'm not "patronising" anyone, I don't "know something you don't know", and I am certainly not calling anyone a "cretin"(?!)
What I am doing is giving my honest opinion on the opinions I see written on here every day since the season ended. And if you don't like me disagreeing with that stance that quite a few people have - sorry but that's tough... because I'm just putting my point of view across, straight and simple. Just like you do, and others do. That's not a problem to me.

I think we'll do really well next season...I might be right, I might be wrong - who knows?? But for now, sorry if I don't jump on the current Gloom Wagon, and even argue against it. I have in the past, but not this time. Not yet.

                    Rosy specs?? Yeah, probably.
But I wont apologise for that... and if I'm wrong about my vision of the next year or so for QPR, and we end up going nowhere under Warnock and Saksena, then I'll hold my hands up and take all the stick I get. Again, not a problem.

And as for Pete being... "Like Pravda last season, but sceptical now..."
I have my own theory about why that is the case. But I'll keep that to myself(!)

I can fully understand why people are getting itchy and the old "FFS it's only June" message doesn't wash anymore.

We've been down this road with these promises for three years. Promised the moon on a stick for our 114% increase in season ticket prices. Yet transfer window after transfer window, NONE of these promises were delivered on. Supporters were fed a diet of scraps, jokes and cast offs on ridiculous contracts whilst loan signing after loan signing rocked up with no motivation, loyalty or desire outside of taking our very comfy signing on fees and 5 figure wages.

The talk has been talked for three years. Time to walk the walk. Jam tomorrow. Manana etc etc etc...

I remember last season when i was saying we are in trouble etc, all I got was FFS we are are 4th, then FFS we are 5th, then FFS we are 6th, then FFS we are 8th, then 10th then FFS we are 15th, were doomed.

Goddard: good points well made. Please don't think I was attacking you personally as wd be v happy to share a pint with you before a game. Naturally I respect your right to be an optimist. I was one myself, once. But as Nodge has eloquently explained there are AT LEAST as many reasons for scepticism and it frustrates me when I see some posters - I'm not saying you - painting everyone who doesn't share the rosy view as somehow all being Victor Meldrews. As long as all views are respected, all cool with me.

Fair enough mate... Like I say, I can totally understand the sceptical view, because as Nodge said, we've heard it all before. No doubt about it, we have.
                              I fully understand that.
I just think that quite often the stuff written on here doesn't take into account that these new owners and manager are exactly that... new.
And I don't think they're being given a fair crack of the whip at the moment by some, and are being judged on what past owners have done. And it comes across to me as spoilt and impatient. Even if it's not meant that way.

Even if things aren't moving at the rate many would like to see with regards to "big signings", I still think they are genuine people, who genuinely want the best for QPR, and genuinely DO have a clue about what they're actually doing.
Unlike the last clueless, amateur, arrogant, clownish, two-bob c***.

But I think I'll ease up on the posts for a while, enjoy the World Cup, and practice exactly what I'm preaching(!) myself... sit back, and wait and see.
