just beacuse he doesnt defend doesnt mean he is not a midfielder. you can have the attacking midfield players who create the chances and link the midfield to the strikers - which is what he does.

he is a attacking midfielder rather than a defensive one such as rowlands, mahon etc..

mackie gets five, so in a new team with a real buzz double that i reckon. ambrose got 20 last season, so at the very least he will get 10 to 15, and taarabt would get 10 in this new improved team as well. add to that clarke chipping in with say 5 as a sub, and a good striker who comes and gets 10 to 15 minimum, thats a lot of golas, and that stinks of promotion to me.
this is only my opinion tho. even if we dont get tarbs, which im not as confident of as ambrose and a proven striker, we will still do the buxiness.

fair enough, hes best position is behind the main striker, he needs two hard working central midfielders to cover hes back, whether that means att mid or forward or striker i dont care, would love for us to sign him tho coz i love his genius tricks and his vision ( when he chooses to use it) is tops

.....i think the interview with warnock is a very positive one.

he mentioned two of the big points we as fans made last season:
1) we had no leaders - he is looking to rectify this
2) he wants 2 more strikers - shows he knows where we massively lack.

that is 2 big areas that will improve us dramatically. he also said that/ fans wont be pleased with some of the signings so far (mackie and clarke) but its a squad game, and last season we had nothing on the bench to change games. this also shows the 2 strikers hopefully coming in will be of better quality than clarke and mackie as they will be squad players.

also the point about him wanting characters in the dressing room hopefully means taarabt is a target.

a very positive interview and i think it should make eveyrone realise he knows where we lack, and he is working on it. things take time! keep positive!

He said he "ideally" wanted two strikers. Could be we will end up with only two.

wouldnt mind Smith too much(but obviously Hooper is way better),of the 2 lumps you mention,hands down Hulse is the better.I bet we end up with Stead!
