our small time mentality and unwillingness to go that extra half yard to capture 'decent' calibre players is gonna haunt us again.....yet we are expected to pay 'west end' prices to watch 'south end' players.....im not overly excited about our prospects again for the comming season and admire those prepared to stump up for season tickets when the likelihood is average a best players coming in!.....are mackie and clarke really that 'better' than balanta who has just gone out on loan???.......surely just two signings of quality with our squad already wouldve appeased most fans n given us real hope not rose tinted expectations!

its like groundhog day,high expectations we would get a quality striker last summer..we didnt,and now again this summer.I know its early days but i will eat my hat if this board pay the money required for a DECENT striker,and that does not include the likes of Stead and Smith. -

Agree its v v early and two top signings wd transform all our moods. But our squad was already full to overflowing with deeply average players and now we just have a whole lot more of them. It could still turn round if he has a major clearout of the old deadwood and brings in a couple of players of real quality. Past history doesn't give much reason for hope, but then it is a new regime and a new manager....we live in hope - for now.Comment

Who knows, who cares. Neil has said he is looking at 2 more strikers so wait and see. IMO we need a team full of character with players who will (not literally obviously) die for the shirt. Players who are hungry for success with points to prove. **** all these big time charlies and journey men who young fans seem to think will carry us to the promise land.
Leave it to Neil. Why do you think he took this job? Do you think you know more than him? have you won four play off finals? If so you are deluded.
Instead of beating on about our signing why not take a look at NW transfer record, it makes interesting reading and another reason I am sure why he got the job. Didnt do a bad job with Ambrose did he?

Hooper did nothing against us. He isn't a Messiah. He is a promising player who might find it harder when he isn't the big fish...I am not saying he wouldn't be good, but he isn't a proven striker yet. We need one of those.Comment
