Fulham as a Premier club and thus successful for some time, are owned and run by a Very successful and wealthy business man. Whether you like him or not.

QPR in the Championship & Div 1 during the same time have NOT. Until now.
Briatore, Wright, Thompson were not in the same League as the passport dodger.

We've had our moments when BP was heavily involved amongst others, but I'm sure they'd agree.

And don't get me started on the Care in the Community project.....
I'm becoming more disillusioned by the day.....
Some help in sending a bunch of flowers is all I ask ?

when we were in the top division of one of the best leagues on the planet our marketing was fine.
its like saying why doesnt mr patels corner shop do as well for the community and have as many customers as tesco, hes not running his sho correctly.

We have the same problem-certainly under Jordan, we have never fulfilled our marketing potential(largest/best cachment area in London/UK if I recall correctly), for you though, even with good marketing it would be hard to pull in the fans it seems-Fulham and Chelsea are established Premier League Clubs in your area, particularly in the case of Chelsea many youth in traditional QPR areas will begin to turn to them in the search for glory. However, it is certainly possible, if the club is marketed properly, to pull in the fans, it just needs an extremely good job.

personally i would just like to see a bit of class about rangers again.

everything from the merchandise to the marketing slogans to the eyesore of a website is horrible, tacky, uninspired trash.

"passion, tradition & style" - do me a lemon.

a point on the marketing that i have noticed is that on the overground chelsea have got them to say 'alight here for chelsea football club'.

surely surely that is something so basic that we could easily do, would increase the profile of the club to passing fans.

""Fulham have got 7,000 diehard fans "" sorry , but what a complete and utter load of ****** !
This from a Club that regularly failed to get 10,000 home fans into its ground last season !!
Fulham now have 14,000 season ticket holders (mine cost £399 to sit about 15 foot from the away dug out)
By all means have a pop at Fulham but please try and stick to the facts !

                Imperial Wharf.

It cost them a hell of a lot of money to have that.

Because you're a season ticket holder doesn't mean you are a die hard fan. Your average Korean from Worcester Park or New Malden won't be renewing his season ticket in the Championship. Fulham and Wigan have the poorest ratio of those fans who follow the club away from home against those who watch home games. Fulham took 142 to Sunderland this season for a Saturday PL game. That doesn't represent a "hard core" of 14,000.

I'd personally venture that Fulham's true hardcore base is lower than the generous 7,000 mentioned. But at the moment with the ubiquity of the PL, you're comparing apples and shampoo. But fairplay to the Community, Marketing and Ticketing teams at Craven Cottage who regularly fill that ground

I think our whole Marketing department is poor it reminds me of mine, they only have 2 ideas to attract customers, offer ridculoius discounts or give our product away away "free". No fresh new ideas, no thought of how to engange the customer, or enrich the product experinace we offer.

The only new ideas come from my company are from teams which are CS or Producer levels.

The club needs to use and exploit all forms of medium, they need to make contact and engage thier customers try and make then interacte some way so they get the bug especaily for new and young customers. Giving away free or cheap tickets is limited, if there is no "hook" that wants to make them come back they wont. Dont forget most people who go to football and get hooked on football will attend regardless of cost within reason.

I have been on the website, theres nothing there that makes me want to read it, nothing there that makes me want to post. If the commentry was not live, i would subscribe either as i think the interviews etc are poor ( personal opinoun). The match day experinace "what experiance", where are the evening events for the ordinary fan, where are the competitions, what do they do for the memberships, the supporters club ! the list goes on. What makes it so poor for me is that they have a loyal fan base, which if used correctly would encourge their freinds to come along and enjoy, which natural expands....

I know i am no good at typing and my english is poor, but i know me and my team in my company do a better job, and we have more ideas (internet based) than our slaes and marketing (as our jobs also depend on it).

I bet they dont even measure there marketing success campaign against addtional customer / revenue, just discount.

Sorry for the rant this just frustrates me....

The club are probably getting more revenue per head than what you think, sure, there are lots of empty seats, but we're one of the most expensive CCC clubs. Normal home support capacity is only about 14,500, can be a bit more now that we're utilising the school end sometimes. And support goes with performance as far as we're concerned, we have no big four carrots to dangle.

Plus, we haven't significantly improved our squad since the take-over, apart from Faurlin. Hopefully this season we will do exactly that.

This was FLAVIO'S idea not Ali Russell. He was and is still I believe just a puppet. All the powers for the decisions that he should be making are controlled from above. I know this and have been given this information from a very solid source. At one stage he drew up plans only for Flavio to change everything.

They're always running out of coffee and team sheets in the Platinum Bar as well as putting the Speckled Hen in the fridge (hanging offence),and because of the stupidly generous leg room in the C Club, the knee space in the Platinum seats couldn't even accommodate R2 D2 (Kenny Baker). How we don't get DVT I don't know. They've got no idea.
