A source close to this message board told me that Ambrose will arrive on June 10. Is this still the case, or is this B.S.?

The takeover is obviously good news for Palace.
But if they think they can carry on as they were before, with the same crowds, the same wage structure etc... then they wont last long before they fall into debt again.
I'm sure these new blokes aren't stupid, so they know they can't offer players like Ambrose a new deal that will match what we offer him. He's agreed his terms at QPR. Big pay rise. (This I've been told)
He's out of contract in a years time.
They can't afford for him to walk for nothing then.
So if they want to be all macho about it, and refuse to sell him just to keep the Palace fans happy... not much we can do about that, but they'll be up Sh*t Street again in no time.
And they'll have a player on their hands, caught in two minds, who knows he is wanted elsewhere.Final Version - Hope you like it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1z0UQ0eqRM

I suppose the takeover at North Surrey Rovers has thrown a spanner in the works... but when they look at the books, and put their sensible heads on, they might realise that they have to cut their cloth... or the hoards from the suburbs might be marching on The Big City again sooner or later.
Maybe that's the way they like it, they like it, they like it, whooaahhhhh.... etc.

Whatever happens, Palace NEED to sell a player before the end of the month to meet the payroll and other commitments. They have no money at the moment unless CPFC2010 roll up with a huge injection. Their most recent shirt sponsors are both part of that consortium so effectively they are cannabilising existing revenue streams. There is no corporate shilling coming in, tv monies already accounted for ergo a player must be sold. Only Speroni and Ambrose would realise the sort of money they need to meet those monthly commitments so either they sell one or, as Goddard says, pull their shoulders back and go for a bit of posturing to appease some of the fanbase. It's a risk, especially as Ambrose only has a year left on his current deal.

If they'd got the 750k for him last week, that would have been swallowed up by admin/debts in 5 minutes.
If they get the fee for him after the takeover, it all goes to Crystal Palace FC. They can use the money for the football club.
I'd imagine that might explain the delay?Final Version - Hope you like it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1z0UQ0eqRM
