We had jermaine beckford and dj campbell on trial a few years ago (when at non league) and we let them go. Now both of them will be playing prem football next year. Who's (very) bad decision was it to let them go?

I can answer your original question.
DJ Campbell is a very, very, very lucky lad to have carved out a career in football. When he was with us he was given numerous last chances and looked to be heading down the Leonne Jenne career path. The club at that time decided they couldn't keep taking risks with him so he ended up at Yeading via Aston Villa (bizzare!). Hindsight a wonderful thing in this case.....
On JB this is well and truly one who slipped the net. He was on trial and watched by those football geniuses Paladini and Waddock. They decided they didn't want him and the rest as they say is history.
Shame as he REALLY wanted to play for us at the time after being canned by Chel**** and could've stayed local and proved himself.
He would've been immense for us with the right coaching another Sir Les --- he was raw, hungry, fit and scored goals from all over the place (worldies and tap in's) plus strong in the air.
Why we didn't sign him only a football agent could tell you...... but then Nyguard was a quality player for us....wasn't he?I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

One of the main reasons why I hate that man. He turned down Wanchope because he had set his mind on buying Sheron for £2.6M
Yes, these things happen, and I think Holloway was in charge when they were rejected.
Still, whislt I think they would have done well at QPR, let's wait and see how well DJ and Beckford do next season before we class them as Prem league standard.
