  • Paddy Kenny

I'm not just saying this cause we have apparently signed him.
But I reckon he is a better keeper than speroni and always has been, I thought he has been brilliant for sheff.utd over the years and think he would do a better job for us than speroni would. Anyone else think the same?

No. I don't think there is a huge difference between Kenny, Speroni and Cerny. All have faults, but at the end of the day, all could play in the Prem. Just my opinion, of course.

        Agree there.

Think Cerny is a decent keeper and seems a nice fella from what i have heard.

We could have saved ourselves a lot of money by not selling Camp last summer. He was the best goalie last season in the Championship and better than Cerny, Speroni and Kenny.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

I knew what your post would be about as soon as I see your name. Lee Camp is not better mate. You've got to let go...he's never coming back.

never rated camp that much. thought he went to sleep quite often.
didnt he balls up in the playoffs?
told my nottingham forest mate that both blackstock and camp flatter to decieve.
i said you are gonna think they are the best things youve ever seen and then the realisation will dawn on you that they are not.

ive seen a lot more of kenny than speroni cos he was well famous before cos of the cup runs and that, and one of his performances for his country was jawdropping. (cant remember which game tho)

Camp's dad was an interfering sod, who thought his son was better than he actually was.

Sorry guys, Speroni is streets ahead both Cerny and Kenny. All 3 are great Championship keepers of course, but Speroni really ought to have been playing in the top half of the Premiership by now.

To the tune of the Macarena

You go down to the Palace to see the great Speroni,
Like Dougie and Jim he's holier than holy,
In the saving of the shots he is the one and only,
                    Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuulian Speroni

Not sure but having an experienced keeper with Cerny wil provide a good competition.

                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

To be fair, i think Cerny, a bit like what happened with Camp, has been treated unfairly.

But! Saying that, i think having two of the best keepers in the league can do us no harm at all! It's not like we have a great keeper (Cerny) and a **** one (Ikeme), we have two very good ones and so it can only be good really!

Must admit I think Speroni is a notch up on Kenny and certainly on Cerny. Radek's distribution is good but his penchant for the dramatic and especially for the punch (which doesn't clear lines) is a flaw. When Speroni was at ours last year he got them the point. And this was at the time (albeit Leicester had just burst our bubble) when R's were on fire up front. Kenny has played well at against Rangers and we've seen plenty of him. I'm v pleased to have him (if we have!) but if push comes to shove I'd have rather had Speroni. Hey - I'd quite like Joe Hart but there you go. We are in a happy place with GKs

westwood at coventry is better than all of them.

camp has had 1 good season in the championship and has a sh1t attitude which will slow down his career. we all want "players who want to fight for a place", he clearly didnt when he walked off the pitch during a warm up. dont really want a player with that attitude in the team.
