      I think thats very harsh.

He has been a great keeper for us but last season he was let down by Damien Stewart.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

great signing if true. We still need outfield players, but i think this kind of signing shows positive intentions of good signings to come

2 games this season = 2 clean sheets
19 clean sheets last season and only conceded 38 goals in 47 matches
30 goals conceded in 40 matches the season before that.

to be honest if this is a 1mil fee id rather it was spent on outfield. but paddy is a good GK should give good competition for cerny

I hope you are both right Walk On By and Benny Boy.

But knowing Rangers I know that something will screw up the deal. I would love him to sign.

will be the best keeper we have had in years, third only to seaman and parkes i say. ive always thought it was one of the best in the country, always.

Agreed - either Speroni, Heaton or Grant (all of whom were also in the list of possibles) would fall into the same bracket as well.
What I like is that we will have Cerny as a great back up - remember he isn't fit and back injuries are the worst for keepers - but also remember that the likes of Heaton, Ikeme and Putnins have all been quoted in recent times as saying Cerny is a fantastic team mate/possible replacement - he gives advice, supports the current incumbent and positively encourages people to succeed..............I think that is because Cerny knows he can do a job for us but doesn't want the pain he feels when he plays.
I also believe he will play a big part in the progress of Putnins, who by all accounts has the potential to become our number one - probably once Kenny has reached an age of no return, so to speak.
