Don't see how they expect to keep Clyne, Speroni and Ambrose, they aren't mega rich all of a sudden just because they haven't been liquidated. They're still going to need to sell their best assets and high earners.

While not being any bit as confident about the deal going through,i remain hopeful it will and will hold on to my avator for the time being.

I'm not going to lose too much sleep over it.

If Warnock had money to spend on Ambrose he'll have money to spend on someone else. After all it's Warnock who turned Ambrose's career around - what's to say he won't turn Mackie, Clarke or someone else into a goal scorer?

tbh if it was a choice between taarabt and ambrose. i know who i would go for.

taarabt would be the better signing.

Then we sign him……”sorry palace fans, what can I do, I wanted to stay….” He’ll probably be a qpr player by the end of the week.
What do you mean not rich by all accounts? It really is bizarre how you can say that when no-one knows who makes up the complete consortium.

And for what it's worth, my take on Ambrose is that it is wonderful that he is seemingly staying with us-whilst he won't reach the heights he hit last season, he is still a high-class Championship/Lower end Premiership player and it's very good that he won't be going to you for a bargain bucket fee.

However, he is one of the top earners at Palace and has one year left on his contract. If the new owners/manager sees fit, they may want to move him on, but luckily for us it will be for 2m upwards, which is his true market value. If he does go I will be sad, in losing a good footballer and someone who obviously wants to stay at Palace, but will wish him well and say thank you very much. If we are to avert the situation we had over the last few days again, perhaps it will be a necessity that he has to leave-but perhaps not.

                          Right.
Considering there were bids of 3m upwards coming in for Beckford in January, certainly.

As previously stated Palace may have been saved for now but the new owners are nowhere near as loaded as Jordan was when he took over, and Jordan took over a club coming out of admin with far less debts than the £30million now put into a CVA. In short they are not nearly out of the woods and will need to sell and reduce the wage bill of, now we know £750k per month. If we get Ambrose then so be it, if not then let him stay at Palace and 'develop' further under a new manager at the same pace he did after Warnock left Palace. The guy once played for Newcastle under Bobby Robson and ended up in a championship delegation side at Charlton, so maybe he isn't the next Lionel Messi?
