As long as we keep Paladini and the former circus out of the picture I am reasonably happy.
We'll have a sticky patch at some stage next season, most teams always do - even Newcastle went a few games without winning last season.
We just need to make sure that people who know nothing, cyber warriors, those with agendas, people who love negativity etc, etc, etc are NOT allowed to mount internet campaigns to undermine the plans the club have in place.
Most are not wetting themselves about the signings so far but I'm confident more will follow.
I'd love it if we rolled out Speroni, Bednar, Tosic etc but if we don't then I'm not panicking and I'd hope we all stay POSITIVE.
At least we're not Palace...... (NW please note!!!)
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.
I'm actually not being doom and gloom and not blaming Warnock at all.
I'm just saying by putting all your faith in the manager it indicates the board really feel that he himself can motivate a team no matter who is in that team.
If that makes sense..
It may well be a team spirit will be enough, you get the fans onside with a few good signings.
Patience will be needed, I'm not sure how much we have, plus in the long term even though this looks like a marriage made in heaven, I'm not sure for example if Warnock wanted say a Beattie for a million plus he would get it,(only an example) as nothing suggests we will spend huge amounts on anyone player.
That makes more sense.
I hope the board will back their manager all the way. Give him time AND money.
In all the jobs NW has had has he ever had serious money to spend? As I understand he has 4 won play off finals out of 5 and also achieved automatic promotion too. He is perfect for us.
It isn't even the summer yet and we do not know who is signings will be. You said yourself we will have a completley fresh side next year so why all this childish impatience?
It's about the team and club spirit, not individuals. Look at us in 82 etc. I see exactly the same thing happening now.
The big difference between then and now is the fans. Fans like on this board are mirrored accross the country and IMO represent the greedy and selfish society we live in. I didnt get a season ticket last year for the first time in 25 years because of the reptile we had in charge. Not because of the lack of money spent but because of the way the club was being run and we as customers were being pissed on.
I have seen a massive change now and the appointment of Warnock is the best they could have made. What right has anyone to say they should spend millions on big signings? You know as well as me that QPR is costing them everyday as it is and we should be thankful we now have owners who will give the club stability at the very least. My god, at least give them a chance.
Hopefully he wont take any notice of the utter claptrap spouted on this board of which you have just added to.
Actions speak louder than words and so far none of the actions in the transfer market suggest that we have learnt from mistakes we have made in the past. Despite being linked with some "names" on the evidence so far it appears that we are still just trying to do things on the cheap.
However, it's only just June and I'm prepared to give the benefit of the doubt. The true proof of how much backing the board are prepared to give NW will be there for us all to see on the pitch in August. If all we've done is got in a few cheap journeymen then I think we know what sort of season we are in for 'cos even NW can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
Palace fans are wetting themselves, because they have been saved from liquidation. And here we have you Pete, acting like a spilt brat just because we have not signed the players you think should be playing for QPR...I haven't seen much actiivity in the market yet from any clubs. We still have the legacy of previous boards and managements with players no one wants and is costing us an arm and a leg...which was probably one of the reasons Palacae got into so much mess.
I suggest people / fans take a long hard look at themselves and stop acting like spoilt brats and let the manager get on with his job.Maybe even wait till season starts to see what sort of a squad he can assemble and shift out.

Pete
I hear what you're saying but I believe too many people on here are getting too bogged down in our lack of transfer activity.. FFS its only the first of June .
The way I look at it re: Warnock , signings, spending decent money....Do you not think he would have been given assurances and guarantees by Amit and co that he would have been given a fairly healthy amount with which to build a team. The excitment and enthusiasm in all his interviews which are geared to this summers transfer window (which still isn;t open!) are like a child waiting for xmas !
As for everyone assuming we wont spend when required... why should we make it known to the outside world that we may spend money!
Like most fans I want to hear that we are spending big and targetting class players HOWEVER think of it from Ishan/Amits point of view . Why disclose what money we have or what are targets are and let our competitors know our full hand!!
Maybe ...just maybe we are doing things a bit more discreetly and with a bit more tact than we have in the past. Look at the likes of Arsenal for example , massive club yet the outside world never really knows who they're in for till the deal is done!!
I think its time to trust Warnock as he has suggested we do and see what transpires!!
if we get our not unrealistic targets kenny, ambrose, hill, derry and orr and then spend over a million on a top striker to go with mackie and clarke and what we already have, we will go up. so would imo.
Right now with the current squad we will finish lower than this season. Simple reason is that we don't have our top loanee goal scorer or Tarrabt. 15th I reckon.
