I wouldn't have picked Bent... I'd have taken Agbonlahor as he offers something completely different to any of the other strikers.
I don't know the stats as I'm too lazy to look, but I'd imagine, over the last 5 seasons, Bent must have scored 20-30 odd goals (total) more than Rooney, Crouch and Defoe over that period.Your mum would love me...

Neither Vaughan or Strauss had/have good county record but had the mentality and ability to play at International level. Hick and Rampraskash broke record after record but couldn't make the step up. Bent IMO is no different. He'll score for fun when he is the big fish in the small pond but can't when it's not all about him.
*dons tin hat!
Again, my arguement is that he deserves to be in the fianl 4. He's earned that chance.Your mum would love me...

The CM joke is funny, and we all use it, but you try it on a personal level, just like every crittisism that comes from your mouth. You are my favourite cyber warrior, so at least that's something, I guess.Your mum would love me...

Not at all, which is why I would have taken Bent. I've never liked DB, but he's a natural goal scorer. Consistantly putting them away for five or so years now. You cannot argue that, no matter how hard you try.

Since 2005/06
Bent 83 goals in 194 matches (all competitions)
Crouch 79 goals in 244 matches (all competitions)
Defoe 84 goals in 214 matches (all competitions)
Rooney 125 goals in 260 matches (all competitions)

I think and hope that the decision to pick 4 strikers means that we'll use Rooney as a lone striker.
I'd love to see a 4-2-3-1 with Barry and Gerrard holding and J.Cole, Lampard and Lennon behind Rooney.

So, Defoe has a better average than both Bent and Crouch. I'm surprised to see Rooney's was so good. Fairplay to him.
I still would take Bent over the other two.Your mum would love me...

Bent had 24 prem goals - we should take a striker who is used to putting the ball in the back of the net
I cant understand anyone who thinks SWP should go - totally crap, waste of space. Take Adam Johnson ahead of him, since he moved to city he played basically every week. Wright-phillips has hardly played
