Unless I've read it wrong, the sticking point appears to be what happens if the ground is sold for great profit, probably to a property developer. If they do not plan to sell the ground, whats the problem?
If you were getting a mortgage to buy your house for £150k and the Building Society wanted a clause in to say that you if you sold to Tescos for £500k they wanted some of that, it only becomes an issue if you ARE going to sell to Tescos.
Maybe I just don't understand.
Don't want to see them go to the wall, but I don't see the Government stepping in tomorrow ffs.
Bottom line is, businesses go bust. Could be mine this year, could be yours.
Upto today the administrator seemed quite confident of the take over by crystal palace2010,but today he seemed very concerned,i'm with you on this fawny, cannot see the government stepping in however much the palace supporters protest, but not sure if this deadline is set in stone but what he did say if its not sorted by tomorrow he has to start selling assets and quickly,so tomorrow is d-day methinks for Ambrose etc... !
As ive already said why should the Tax payer help a private Club out.Its making a loss as it is so why throw good money{yours /mine/etc ]after bad.let them go.
why has Simon Jordan taken up ORIGAMI ! ! ha ha ha ha ha ha.....do any of you remember the saarf London ##### flooding the pitch with black balloons before our do or die match at LR....good enough for em....they'd lose no sleep if it was us....so please stop being so polite and bloody PC !
I will pay a pound now just for the club,no ground etc and i will put em out of their misery and shut em down.I know, need no thanks just being kind as cant see this creulty go on.LOL
Palace problems puts the glass half empty crowd to shame
I hate palace, they are an arrogant lot who think they are big time, but i dont wish for them to go out of business.
The negativity on this board is very sad at times, and some of the doom and gloom b o llox just isnt worth reading, but this time tomorrow Palace could be no more.
in 2000, 2004 and then again in 2007 we have been on the verge. A few years ago I used to put players up in my house. I had Ricky Sappleton, Ray Jones, Romone Rose as well as many trialists. I did this to start with to help me with a mortgage, but it turned out to me a night mare as Rangers went months and months without paying me, Gianni wouldnt sign cheques. they had me screwed as they knew i wouldnt kick them out as rangers is my life. I was told they sat on his desk for weeks, in late 2006 I think the situation went bad and the sale of Dean Parrett i think kept us a float, the the same with cookie, Flavio is an #### i dont think any of us differ in that opinion but if he wouldnt have come in with Bernie there would have been no Amit and we sit he crying because we havent signed a striker yet.
in 87 and 2001 wimbledon and fulham mergers scared us all, we have our rangers now we have a board that look like protecting us making us a force and making us efficent too. Palace would long for that stability so would Pompey.
lets apreciate where we are and remember where we have been.
I agree, but being run badly by Jordan isnt the fans fault and by this time tomorrow - the biggest love in their life could be gone!! so allthough what your saying is right, we were run badly and could have been where they are, and in similar circumstances the tax payers shouldnt come in to save us but all of our lives would have been hit in a big way
Jordan isnt at fault its Sky and the Prem. Before these vultures came on the scene SJ would of been a wealthy owner of a club and could of held his own.Now days its like you or me owning a club his wealth.Money may of improoved facilities, players ,game etc but has ruined the financhal stability of our game.Italian league nearly went bust and we are going the same way.
Jordan is at fault he could have come clean about the problems a lot sooner and had a better chance of getting genuine investment, he has always been about ego, you dont wake up and suddenly become 30m in debt.
