  • Millwall fans.. nobends but what a noise they generate..

I was at the match today.. wont bore you with the details but suffice to say that I have two daughters living there and a win for the Robins and I could resume visiting and taking in a game too.. all very nice.. but sadly not to be!!

Anyway back to the title of the thread.. It's not difficult to see why they have this thuggish reputation and indeed seem to revel in making people feel slightly nervous and intimidated... there were so many tough uncompromising characters I thought they must be extras from some new caveman movie that was being filmed somewhere nearby...

Then you have the next generation and the wannabe pups all strutting around because their 'minders' were nearby... c.o.c.k.s many of them but christ what a noise they made have never heard anything like it!! I wish we could manage a fraction of the sound down at LR as it must inspire the players....

Pretty ordinary fare TBH but whilst I was sitting there amongst the glums from Swindon I thought how lush it would be, to be there supporting your own team rather than just being there under the most tenuous of reasons... ie having two girls from there.............

Come on NW PLEASE get us there next year if we don't go up automatically....

    the caveman film..

they r like west ham in that they do have more than thier fair share of herberts.and as you say they really do make a noise and back their team to the hilt.i think in this respect most other fans have a begrudging respect for them.

          yes

yes what has destroyed millwall is there own fan base is at war, besically the bermondsey boys hate the peckham ,they hadf a terrible fight when millwall played abroad, they actually stabbed each other,so yes they are the worst annimals on the planet, only west ham and birmingham can stand against them

Was there last week in the B'pool end with a few other QPR fans.

I was thinking exactly the same thing, 'what if' it's us next year! The atmosphere again, like at the millennium, gets the hairs on the back of your neck up that's for sure!

I was in the Millwall end last year when they lost to Scunny and that chap Hooper. The atmosphere was again absolutely incredible before and during, and actually, they were a laugh too. Didn't seem to mind that we were QPR fans in the least. Maybe it's because they lost...
Police didn't seem to care about them smoking in the ground or at HT in the communal area, deciding to instead pick their battles.
Anyway, I look forward to next season.

Probably due to the fact that neither Scunny or Swindon are exactly renowned for their willingness for a row are they(rhetorical)... the fact that they were trying to fight each-other was enough for me to gauge that it could have been much worse (second time round)...

I saw nothing but peace and harmony that day I'm sure they'd of picked on innocent scunners if they were as bad as made out
