  • Scariest away game?

Seeing the Wall get promoted today brought back memories of the time me and a couple of pals, aged 14 by the way, went to The old Den, to support the Rangers. We nearly got a slap on the tube going to the game and were escorted by the plod back to th station after the game under a torrent of abuse and bricks!
F cukin scary day and to cap it all we lost 4-2 and Clever Trev missed a pen!
Prob most scariest time ive had at a footy match.

I remember going to a 'friendly' at the old Den, me and a couple of mates sat in the stand and thought we were being incognito. We scored (John Byrne I think) but we didn't celebrate and then this docker turns round and snarls why do QPR always have a big blonde ponce up front next thing we knew the whole stand was turning on us, had to make a hasty exit only to be fronted by a load of kids outside. It was a very dangerous ground the old Den.

after our 'yoot' got a bit of a scattering outside maccie d's near elland rd after the 6-1 my goodself and about eight others got dogged out by some older sc lads and i really did expect a shoeing but after some initial postering n gesticualting and one swift windmill plod intervened moving the leeds lads on before we gave them a jolly good thrashing

The cup game away at Leeds when they were just jumping over the fence was a tad scary, as was Cardiff away in the cup in the 80's at the end the Hedlu just opened the gates and walked off, on the other side of the road was about 500 of the animals. Luton away while they had the ban was always entertaining.

Nothing has come close to Leeds away in the FA CUP 1987! There must have been 4,000 Leeds Service Crew trying to get over that fence! The QPR fans that choose to sit were annihilated!

Partizan Belgrade was meant to be a nightmare, mates who went said they were all split up inside the ground and coined from start to finish, and that was when they won 4-0 too.

yep that was proper moody, and that midweek luton game (cant remember the year) where the geezer was standing there with his elephant man head after getting properly mullered, that was well lively getting out that night.

Was that the same game at Luton, where the guy got his faced slashed earlier on in the day, a load of us went up to Wembley a litttle while after because of it, Luton were playing Reading in some 2 bob final OB everywhere.
