        Means nothing. It's brinkmanship. £££

Didn't the Blackpool chairman say the same thing about Gorkks ?
I can't see Lewis playing in league two once he knows higher league clubs are interested.

"QPR couldn't affford to buy Joe as they don't spend a lot of money on transfer fees"

            He's right

What evidence do we have that the current owners of QPR don't spend money?
Is it because we've "only" spent £1.25m so far... by the end of may?

(Assuming Ambrose has signed for 750k, and Mackie was £500k.)

I'm beginning to bang my head against a brick wall here.... why are so many fans so quick to label the new owners "tight" or lacking ambition, when they haven't even had a transfer window to operate in yet?

I don't understand why they are being judged on what past owners have (or haven't) done.
It's just too early, and sounds like fans are spoilt and have zero patience levels.

Still, I'm p*ssing in the wind here, on my own, obviously.

Very true Goddard, but can you blame us?

As seen by links posted on here to boards of other clubs IE (sheff wed, palace etc) I've read at least one post on each where someone says how they feel sorry for QPR fans, being promised the world and getting little in return. It won't take us long to get back on side, but until some proper intent is going to be shown can the Mittals really expect us to believe the promises that have been made season after season? We've heard about how the Mittals are different and they are desperate to get into the Premiership, but that's exactly what Flav said.

Fans of other clubs know jack sh*t about how our new owners/manager are going to do their business this summer, and beyond.
They just read lazy media articles, and take them as fact. Then they spout their various brain-farts on their own messageboards.

And why should they know what we are going to do?... because we don't even know ourselves yet.

                  That's my point.
It's all very well saying that they have to show intent, and they'll be judged on their actions, and that QPR fans have every right to be wary about "big talk".
                  That's all true.

But it seems ok to just label them as tight and/or lacking ambition before the end of this season, even though (I think?) they've already spent more than anyone in this division before the end of may.
We haven't even started the transfer window yet!

But... when another gobby chairman, a opposition fan on some two-bob website, or a Northern newspaper says something that can be jumped on, that's all true, and is the chance for a lot of people to slaughter QPR, and just believe that stuff, rather than what our new owners/manager are saying... when they haven't had a chance yet to show what they're all about.
If it was July 28th, I'd understand this.

But right now, I just don't get it.
                  I'm obviously missing something here!

Goddard, I am totally with you here and you are not alone. The attitude of many on here is so stupid, almost childish like. No patience, no common sense, no business brains and this common ability not to actually read statements that are made.

                      But hey, we are QPR.
