A debate that will continue for years.

Between my growing years in football between 18-40, I played football on a Saturday afternoon in the Kent league and only managed to go to see QPR on Saturday if injured or no game.Since then over last 10 years I have had season ticket for only 2 years...and now only a member and manage to go to roughly 10 games a season. This is largely due to my business commitments.

In a perfect world i would like to go to every home game and possible some away games.

I do see a lot of young fans that attend every home games etc...does that mean they prefer to watch football than play?

Givien my life over again, i would still prefer to play football than watch QPR.Further more - i wished i a) didn't prefer drinking when i was younger b) meeting my missus at 24...just when i was at my peak - and football took more of a back seat....(7 games a week was considered too much)
As far as i'm concerned - you do what you can to watch QPR Season ticket or pay as you go.Sure, fans that watch more games can give better overall assessments of players - not sure if it makes them better fans or us are fake fans.

well they could always invest---get promoted to prem---- get millions from prem league (promotion and only 1 season in prem is enough to recoup you £90million or so)

Like you I have renewed, but I would never be critical of anyone who is having doubts in this present climate. For the past three years now we have been promised so much and very little has been delivered. To encourage fans to buy into the dream, the club have to provide the funds to buy players that are capable of providing success. If they are not willing to do this, then season ticket prices should have been reduced accordingly.

Folkestone Invicta...up till 1984 on a regular basis. After meeting the missus, still played after that, but on a more when i was allowed to ()

The problem in playing football in the old kent league - is we travelled all over Kent(duh)and usualy ended up afterwards going back to the home teams bars...which meant returning home on the bus...quite late and din't go down to well with a first child being born. Also at that time, Folkestone Fc was going through a change and a lot of Sunday morning players were playing for Folkestone, which meant local players got more of a chance to play for Folkestone and a lot were drafted in the then Kent senior team.

Later in my glittering career() played in the Ashford league and helped out a team called the Fountain, which i think is now defunct...

However, when the early bird deadline finishes and prices rise, big name signings will come in, to encourage fans to pay the higher season ticket prices as they have to see the team suceed. Clever clever clever
Are you being serious with this conspiracy theory?? have you considered that maybe's it is difficult to get players in this time of the year, I haven't seen many clubs bringing in new players yet!!

A lot of player contracts dont expire until 1st June or even later...

I am not sure what you consider to be a big name signing, but Ambrose who by all accounts will be a Rangers player by COB today was one of the best players in CCC last season, I think that is the sort of signing we need/want.

why? 1 big signing is not going to do it for a lot of fans i dont think.
I want to see commitment from this mega rich board and incentive to pay premiership season ticket prices ....like i said the early bird poxy 15% or whatever doesnt worry me...its the feeling ive been ripped off i want to avoid this season .
Hate the feeling ive been scammed and had that feeling past couple of seasons while watching Flabio and his rat from across the pitch

If you look at all clubs most fans renew their season tickets regardless, they don't all wait to see what players are coming in/going out of the club before they buy.

It's either you want to go or you don't.

nah id be too happy with the signings to worry about 15% m8
already made my mind up not to renew my familys tickets anyhow. May get half season tickets, gonna wait and see.
Fed up with the spin and the lies, fed up with Paladini's involvement and just generally disillusioned with rangers at the moment tbh. May get the excitement back if we sign some good players and start to move forward
