Well I said last week that the strike force is Mackie & Clarke... so I just hope and pray we get Hooper otherwise it will be the same old story we've had last 2 seasons.... lack of strikers...

      oh and a left/right back..

I have just seen this and I have to I am now massively concerned about prospects of promotion next season.

One more striker, we need 2 ****ing strikers both capable of scoring 20 goals a season each. Clarke and Mackie should be a Plan B nothing more and I thought Mackie was going to be used as a winger more so anyway?

So we have been screaming out for 2 top strikers since we have been taken over and two thirds of our dream forward line line consists of 2 strikers which have come from 2 relegated clubs and have cost a grand total of 500k.....oh dear oh dear same s.hit from Rangers just another season.

Joke ****ing club always looking to do everything on the cheap.

The board in any guise have been promising us success for the past 3 seasons and still expect us to gamble up to £700 for a season ticket -the highest in the CCC and a good deal more expensive than a number of Prem.clubs.So far we've bagged 2 players on freebies from relegated sides - BIG DEAL !! With billionaire owners we should be looking at the likes of Lambert,Maynard,Hooper etc if we are serious about promotion.Beckford looks done and dusted but that's the level we should be considering. With £90m at stake for gaining promotion, and potential selling on profits, what are the board thinking about - it's a no brainer and extremely frustrating.

I can't understand why for the love of god this club refuses to invest in a couple of strikers. It should take £5 million to do it, Mackie and Clarke will barely hit double figures between them next season, we might as well keep Helguson or put Buzsaky up front because the return will be better.

I am starting to think investing in a season ticket is a waste of time with. I won't be there as it is for much of next season, I can't see the point in being anal about my seat anymore because at this rate there is a fat chance the ground is ever gonna sell out.

surely there cant be anyone trying to put a positive spin on this news. makes me wonder if thiis rebuilding job we need is beyond warnock as its clear to see where we need real quality but he fails to see it.

promotion push......dont make me laugh, middle to low table is all we will get with clarke & mackie as a strikeforce(do like mackie as player, but not as a striker.

its no wonder warnock has a good relationship with the board, they must be rubbing there hands together with glee cos warnock wont spend any of there money!!!

Everything points towards doing things on the cheap still even bringing Warnock in will only cost us 400k until we are promoted and then it will rise to 600k.

Hill, Derry, Clarke, Tosic will all be free transfers if they are all signed with others probably on Warnocks radar. Ambrose 750k for a player who should be going for 3 times that which is a great bit of business for us but it doesn't detract from the fact that we are doing things on the cheap still.

The signing of Clarke and Mackie now is setting alarm bells ringing, I thought they were merely to be squad players but Warnocks latest comments suggest otherwise. Its now becoming clear that regardless of what the standard of football or calibre of player is at LR we will continue to pay through the nose for it no what matter what.

im sure i read in an article over the last week from the owners mouths that they were fully aware of the financial backing that is needed for promotion. I understand peoples views, as i agree - so far havent been what we expect for a promotion chasing team, but i think we should calm down and wait before we start getting annoyed. Warnock has 30 or so targets, hes stated that himself - and im sure not all will be freebies and on the cheap - and some more exciting names will come in. Maybe im wrong - but just think we should wait before we judge as we have already signed 2 more players than most teams, and we are far from finished

Does this statement about only one more striker inn include a striker or two he might have signed ALREADY apart from Clarke and Mackie. I just wonder?

And as Pete said, he hasent heard anything of this piece of information from the gaffer himself..

Where has this comment from warnock come from...

**** stirring if u ask me!

Warnock knows what's needed and has previous for have plenty of strikers in his squad.

Expect 2/3 quality forwards to come in by end of July

                            Jesus, you are angry!

There is a chance that Warnock doesn't tell any old journo everything he's planning?

I know you're not alone in getting really frustrated here, what Warnock tells a journo isn't a blueprint for what he'll actually do over the next 2 months.
These threads would be easier to understand if it was July 28th, and not May 28th.

I'm not being all chilled and "happy clappy" here for the sake of it, but I honestly can't get my head around why people are getting so wound up already... the day before the play-off finals for this season.
Many players and agents are on holiday for a start.

Its just a case of de ja vue Goddard and many of us have heard this all before, whoever the owners or managers are.

                              Im am not complaining, its quite simple with me;

You want to charge over inflated prices for a season ticket (Only 8 clubs in the country more expensive , as Nodge said), then buy quality proven players.

Buy Taraabt , Speroni and Hooper etc I buy a season ticket, Hill, Mackie and Clarke ; I will pick and choose my games.
With a baby boy due in October I certainly wont waste money watching league one players such as Clarke and Mackie.

I love rangers but sometimes we have to find a happy medium

I totally understand the reaction... if the old board were in charge. It was a joke, and we were a circus.

But I'm prepared to give Warnock and Ishan/Amit the benefit of the doubt, because they haven't been in charge for one minute of any transfer window yet.

I just think this is unfair to lump the current manager/chairman in with the clowns of the recent past, and not give them at least a chance to back up their words.
That's all I'm saying. (over and over!)

If it gets to late July, and it proves all talk and no action, I'll have a good old rant too.
                                No problem.
