No it's not personal Pete - it's based on the fact that De Canios record actually wasnt very good - his last 20 odd games comapred to Sousa were hardly any different in terms of points gained.

The rose tinted specs surrounding De Canio are unreal.

From the start ive said i dont think Di Canio will come back and i still havent changed my mind!! Just cant see him coming back!...
I also find rumours of Big Phil or Sven ridiculous!! Think were aiming a little to high, dont get me wrong id love a appointment of that calibre, but its highly unlikely it will happen.

I hate to say it, but im worried im going to be highly dissapointed when the manager is annouced.

Let's get one thing straight I would NEVER advocate a manager getting the sack after 6 months regardless of the style of play - the difference IMO between Sousa and LDC is that we saw the best of LDC and the worst in the dire away performances/last minute goals against when he had our best players available. The performances tailed off as soon as some of those players got injured and the limitations of his tactics and the squad were exposed.

Sousa never had a chance with a full squad.

In fact I feel most managers could have done as well as LDC with the injection of players he got if not better.
