Think most of us realise that re-building half a squad will take time. But I also think - and if you do have a contact in the club you would be doing the club a favour if you passed it on - a lot of fans are understandably v v sceptical after all the hype and shenanigans that has gone on in the last couple of years. With respect its easy for you to effectively say "relax, its looking good" etc because you are - apparently - ITK, but to the average fan considering renewing their season ticket it is a real dilemma. If the club is worried about season ticket sales and wants to boost them then there is one very simple solution: make one marque, striker signing - Hooper, Henderson or whoever Warnock fancies, but not a Clarke - to show we mean business v soon. The rest can wait but you need at least one. Then many, many fans - myself and brother included and by the looks of it many of the posters on this board - will buy seaon tickets because we will know the club is serious. But after all that has happened there is a loss of trust and the club need to respond to that. Any company in any walk of life that starts to complain about its customers rather than addressing the problems associated with their product is doomed to failure - its one of the first laws of business.

Agree with Jeffro and others. Football clubs can't expect blind loyalty forever. We live in a consumer society where people pick and choose all the time. And its not all about money, its about how you divide your spare time with family etc. If you don't think you are going to be even that entertained then why put yourself in the way of all that grief from wives etc for going to football all the time? Unless clubs do improve the entire experience - the food, seating, toilets, facilities as well obviously as the football - they simply aren't going to survive.

I didn't buy a s/t last year and picked my games,i was quids in because of was rightly said,all the loanees and constant change meant a lacklustre season,if the board want me back in my seat all season and announced some decent signings/intent i would have bought one again,but if not by deadline day then i wont be getting one,i will again pick and choose my games,so Saksena has it wrong when he says there be better off by people not renewing now,because we will after.....wrong,i wont be,because i still dont trust you,been there,done it,got the t-shirt but, if you prove me wrong i will renew season 2011/12 but next season pick n choose my friend !!!!

Just to add a comment to the strikers you mentioned. I have this sneaking feeling that Darius Henderson will be one of our strikers next season. Not at all in the know, but I just want to add a bit possitivity to your concern about that final bit of quality up front we still seem to lack ahead of the new season.
