Taarabt got 5 goals because he HAD to go it alone. I'm not being funny, but who is there to pass it to?
Simpson- always marked because he was our only threat
ageymang- Need i explain
Vine- See ageymang
Priskin-See ageymang
buzsaky-out of position
faurlin-not a goalscorer
so he tried to make things happen. He is one of the most talented players in the division and will be even better with better players around him. He be a star in the future
He has more skill than everyone in the championship and 75% of those in the prem, problem is you need to play others players out of position and in a different format to accomodate him....what a predicament
problem is you need to play others players out of position and in a different format to accomodate him
...or alternatively just get in a decent striker that will put away all the chances he creates, and have players around him who he'd feel confident in passing to knowing that they wouldn't lose possession.
You may well be right, but I have heard differently. I think its fair to say he was a very naturally fit player and on the whole was very popular with his team mates and idolised by ALL the fans. And the points still remain regarding his higher goal ratio and knowing when to pass and when to keep it, so the comparison is still premature.
Yes he was loved but not by all. There where some that felt he was not worth being in the team when he first came to us. My dad for one he spoke about when he first came to us and how wrong he was. When I first saw him play I thought he was great as a 7 year old. I bet if we had message board back then people would have been dived. Like Ferdinand, Francis, Hazell, Seaman, Allen, Bannister, etc. Many of our great player have dived us over the years but they soon come heros. I believe Taarabt while be.
clive, are you sure??
he was the best young player we ever had, he was the best thing since sliced bread, everyone loved him.
i remember standing watching him at greenford (viking) scoring untold cracking belters from every inch of the pitch.
OK maybe not Clive but my point there are always people don't like players who then come heros. If we had message board it 60s 70s 80s 90s there would have been people moaning about a player. If we sign Taarabt does sign and I hope so I believe that he well become a hero and some one we say we gald he played for us.
