Adel is class, no doubt, but I'm still not sure he's right for us. NW knows his stuff so I'm happy with his signings, no matter what. It would be lovely to see Hooper in as well.
    Your mum would love me...

      Believe me on that!
But you can confirm we have made an offer then Nodge? Do you know if it has been accepted?

            haha quality stuff.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

If we sign Adel Taarabt, then never mind "accepting" players like Derry and Hill.... we will NEED players like Derry and Hill.

Leaders and fighters, to go with the flair of Ambrose, Taarabt, Buzsaky etc..
If you don't have the spirit and leadership to go with players like Taarabt etc.. then you are f****d.
              Simple as that.

We also have a player who has both qualities... Faurlin.
Getting him signed up and on a better contract is every bit as important as any new signing we make this summer.

I was referring to both talent and attitude. There really isn't much difference.

Both are maverick players, both do not appear to like authority, both had attitude problems (why do you think Bowles hardly played for England or handed in a transfer request on a frequent basis).

Made several offers over the past year. This time the boy looks like he's willing to come for the first time.

Goddard,i believe Faurlin has 2 years left on his contract?.

Would definately offer an extension to him.

If players are coming in on bigger money than him, that would be wrong.
                      And could cause problems.

Nobody in that team should be on more money than him. Someone on here mentioned that his contract is being improved the other day(?)
                      It should be.

So Barcelona and Real Madrid haven't broken the door down on Harry's door then?

                          adel

stan bowles started out as a creative left winger,so it would be a fair comparison, between him and adel, they are both tempermental as well.
so if we buy adel and convert him into a 20 goal a season striker,we could be quids in

                              There is no "transfer budget".

Too premature to be making these kind of comparisons. Bowles was one of the fittest players and hardest trainers in the squad. Much higher goal ratio too. He also knew WHEN to pass and WHEN to keep the ball and was very much a team player. His team mates loved him and he very rarely frustrated them, or for that matter, the fans.
