  • How big is Warnock's budget?

    Does anyone know?

Lots of people (myself included) have signatures saying In Warnock we Trust but how far does that trust go if his signings are being doubted?

If there is no budget and therefore he can only sign the likes of Hill, Mackie and Clarke then there is little he can do. If he's been given £10m then lets wait and see exactly who is brought in before writing off another season.

Most would agree that he has a whole squad to build and that he needs time to build it. But it takes money and if he isn't backed by the Mittals what exactly can he do? I don't believe he'd have left Palace to sign for a club who weren't go to support him. I don't believe he'd allow any interference from someone else at the club.

Warnock is his own man and he'll bring in the players that he thinks are right for this team. But if he has no money then expect more signings like Clarke. If he does have money then we need players like Clarke to keep the bench warm but who has the experience to come on when neccessary.

14 weeks to go until the window closes, the season isn't over and none of the players that us the fans want have signed for other clubs. So lets sit back, enjoy the world cup and this silly season and get depressed in August when none of our targets have signed or when we realise that Warnock had no money to spend.

If true then we were never going to sign the likes of Taraabt, Speroni and Ambrose so Warnock is doing the best he can do.

Not really Bogdanovic is available on a free from Barnsley, much better than Clarke.

I don't think he has a fixed sum to spend , i think he'll end up spending around £3m on new players.

Neil is signing the players he wants and I think there is no real budget, if Neil wants then they will try and get them in, I feel they are getting the players in that they can right now, we will have to wait for the better players when the window opens, not sure?

I still trust Neil to make us a club that people talk about and there is no way he would have come to QPR if things were as they were.

We need to enjoy next year and give him and the board our trust!

Warnock always comes across as honest and speaks his mind, well all along he's been saying he's really excited about next season, we'll pushing for promotion etc, so for now i'll believe that he's building a squad and at first he's signing the back-ups ,freebies as this is possible until the big signings are back from hols etc.

I still live in hope .... just

He will have some change then, because Mackie cost less than an initial payment of £500k, so perhaps he has about £100K left.:grining

Serioulsy, I think he is going to buy one or two players who will cost a reasonable fee of between £1.2-2.5M. Perhaps these will be Hooper and Taarabt plus Ambrose for £750K.

All in, I think he has around £5M to spend in the close season with more to come in January.

Bogdanovic was always set to go to Sheff Utd. He lives in Sheffield and I thinkh he made his mind up to join them months ago.

I think along the same lines as you. I am hoping that players like Taarabt, Tosic, Hooper, and Ambrose will sign in the next moth or so.

It's not about who the fans want - Reallity Is about who the gaffer signs!!!

But all the "who the fans want", speculation and rumours keep the messageboards rolling over the summer months.

I enjoy the speculation as much as the next person but our fans are talking like we've missed out players when the fact is the transfer window isn't even open yet. If we were signing Clarke but our rivals were signing Hooper then fine to moan but we simply don't know what the future might hold.
