On the basis wartb.com are looking at raising revenue through advertising (about time), why oh why do people post links to public information, taking users from watrb.com to other web sites, when a simple cut and past of text is 1) legal and 2) keeps eyes on watrb.com which is important to advertisers.

The idea of a decent web site do things to keep eyes on their .com, not provide links to take them away from it to another .com, which may be better etc, etc.

You can't just steal articles from other sites and post them to your own, you need to provide a link to the source.

Not true.once it is out it is public information. If you use the info in a piece of your own, you need to credit it though.

And.................. post the link under the text then.

Its public info yes, and you can re-write it yourself if you want but you cannot copy and paste an article word for word without "linking" to the original site.

I dont see it as a problem anyway, because all people do is click on the link, read it, then close the page down and discuss the article on WATRBs.
