Doubtful. Whether Sousa was telling the truth or not a deal was being done to get Blackstock out of the club while Sousa was away, which means there are people at the club who don't see Blackstock as the future of this club.

sadly, he will be going to Forest.

The only saving grace is that Forest notoriously change their minds (as in Camp) and they could easily try and wait 3-4 months and cut his value down. Blackstock has only a year left on his contract.
