  • The pre coating of Clint Hill

Please feel free to make WATRB's history in this 1st ever "Pre pasting" thread.
I am informed Clint Hill will be in next so let the hammerings begin before he has even been announced as a signing:

    1. Clint Hill is a Warnock type player whom I do not want to sign buyt I trust the manager so will give him a chance.

Clint Hill will probably have the same reaction as the Mackie signing

Sorry Luke, this thread is for posters who wish to "vent their spleen" towards the signing of Clint Hill.

Carry on with positive posts and I will ask Kirrill to dish you out an infraction point.

Isn't that what we have all been asking for over past few years.? get a manager in to do his own signings.Let him have a season and then judge him.

Mackie - Hill - not on my radar of players i would like to see at QPR - but I feel that we will make 1-2 signings that the fans won't get....just before we pip barcelona and sign Fabregas

There are already a host of threads like this coating Hill off, they've been running for weeks, ever since he was first on the radar and happily most have been hijacked by positive messages of the need for some steel at the back. And for my penny's worth I've always said that I'm confident NW knows more about his skills, ability, benefit to the team as well as his deficiencies than any one who comes on here to destroy him before the ink is dry. So yes - I trust the manager and will trust his judgment too.

He is poo and not scored more than 60 goals a season, can't tackle, can't pass and basically sh!te.

                        Good luck to the fella

I have split opinions on this signing, much like I do about the Mackie signing.

Hill is going to bring a bit commitment and good old fashioned defending to the squad which is something which I think we lack but on the face of it, he is no more than a run of the mill Championship player coming towards the end of his playing days.

If he is being signed as left back/centre back cover then fine. To be fair we haven't had options at left back for a few seasons now.

I think what Warnock needs to do is supplement signings like Hill and Mackie with a couple of players that are going to get the fans excited, the likes of Hooper, Taraabt etc. I'm sure Warnock and the club know this already and negotiations are probably already underway!
