I think he could do ok. Look at it this way he has a better record for Plymouth than Ambrose had for Charlton. In fact he has only scored 4 career goal less than Ambrose and is 2 years younger, so yeah i'm optimistic about Mackie.
What is very refreshing is Mackie's attitude, wants to show us what he can do on the pitch.
He's young and eager and will run at defenders, the big thing for me is he 'WANTS TO PLAY FOR THE CLUB!!!',not just sit back and count his money!! Neil knows what he's doing,so let's not be judgemental until we start kicking a ball again in August!!!!
I came here to chew gum and kick ass,and I'm all outta gum!
I have confidence in the choices of Warnock and so I think Mackie is a good player but I think that is absolutely necessary a real striker, a player who can score 20 goals.
A striker Les Ferdinand style to be clear ...
Beckford, Hooper ...
with the quality in our midfield - Douglas Bader would score goals - supply to the forwards is so crucial - Buzz, Faurlin, Hogan, Adel ?, Cookie, Legs - when these guys are on song Douglas Bader and Heather Mills would get 60 between them - so Mackie should do well
No not really, he could end up the next Priskin, now Priskin was played week in week out yet we could all see he wasn't up to it..... I just hope and pray that mackie has another side to him......

Doesn't say much for Pellicori, Vine and Agyemang then.
