  • NO pre-season tour / SDC Gone

Just been told that there are NO plans for a pre-season tour.

Shame really, Croatia would have been a hoot. All players are now released till July from today.

    SDC has now left QPR.

Well, I'm sure we'll have them, obviously. But, that's being left upto the new boss who should be announced next week (and no, i dont know who he is).

Feel sorry for SDC, cant fault his work ethic, always thought he'd do well playing with a decent target man next to him.

Glad to hear SDC has gone as more likely we will be getting a new striker in and he was clearly not very good!

Shame about not having a tour but might do the players good to have the time off and come back fresh for pre season with the new manager!

Sammi tried his best IMO but it seemed he is not suited to our game.

Best of luck to him in the future.

Glad Sammys gone, i was worried we would keep him for next year, which would mean we would be buying 1 less striker.

Tried his best but did he even have a good overall game for us??

            Good luck Sammy

inevitable that SDC would be off, has a chance at Fiorentina after all...

feel massively sorry for him really, asked to play a system he'd probably never experienced before and wasnt cut out for on his lonesome...

all this whilst during his 9 months in England his fiancee/wife was heavily pregnant and subsequently gave birth to a child he couldnt really see as he is contracted to a club in another country....

but still he was **** according to our "experts" and was being paid about £1k a week so he cant complain can he? :embarrassed:

I know his mrs and baby being overseas was hard for him - well, it would be.

Personally, I would have kept him..in the right system I reckon he could be amazing..one to look out for in the future me thinks.

Maybe, but probably not over here. Not many Italian players have come here and been a success. In fact not many Italians have come here at all.Our game seems more suited to Spaniards and French more than anything.Even Germans don't come here in large numbers.

Shame I liked him as you said scott would be decent alongside a target man. Good luck to him.
