I want to see player hurt when we lose and player give everything for the cause. He is someone who I can categorically state will go out there and work his socks off for the team. He's not a Big Time Charlie, simply a honest, hardworking, enthusiastic footballer.
    Yep.
Things have changed from 10 years ago, when Fulham chucked their money at players who were in the Prem. Like Coleman, Lee Clarke etc..
Now, they wont leave the Premier League, and come down to the second division... even if they are offered 15/20k per week on a 4 year deal.

There are very average players in the Premier League who are on 30/40k per week. At least.
These boys want to see their faces in Panini Sticker Albums, in The Sun Dream Team List. They want to swan around saying, "I is a Premier League Player, innit". To them, you are either a Premier League Player, or you are nothing.
And 20k per week wont interest them, like it did when Fulham did what we're trying to do.
James Beattie or Dave Kitson wouldn't give QPR the steam off their ****, until "we is a prem team".

So getting a player like Mackie, who is young, hungry and willing to learn is not as bad an option as some think.

... to follow on from that...
if Speroni is offered a deal by a Prem Club, he'll go to them.
Why wouldn't he? He's good enough. The best in this league.

Not just my opinion, but many QPR fans, Neil Warnock, all Palace fans, many opposition fans who've seen him have blinders against them, week in week out... and probably a couple of Premier League managers too.

And if Speroni is setting our sights too high, even with all our money, our location, and having a proper manager now, etc...... then we'd better lower our sights a bit.
      I mean the fans.

Hulse, Henderson, Hooper, Ambrose etc..... that's about as good as we can realistically attract.
Because of the division we're in. Nothing else.
