      In todays money £6 million then is worth around £8.5 million now. Thinking back Shearer's transfer fee got silly Newcastle broke the World Record (I think) for a striker commonly regarded as the best in the world bar none (and he was as well).

            the les ferdinand sale will always be a most contraversal decesion,he he had stayed we would have had a further five years in the prem and perhaps we then would have fouind,a ferdinand replacement.

              Dexter Sir les was sold by wilkins NOT holloway.
              I played sunday league football today.

              Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

              I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

              We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
