  • The Mittals? or would you prefer...

...someone with half the money but twice the commitment?
too early to criticize but the players we have so far been linked with does not bode well that the kind of money we need spent on our team pre season is actually going to get spent.
So what if the Mittall family does not invest in the playing staff before the new season to the extent that most of us (myself included) hope will be spent? £19 billion and top of the fourfourtwo football rich list, he paid £70 million for Bernies old kensington gaff and spent £30 million on his daughters wedding...is it too much to ask that he shows a bit of commitment and invests £10 to £20 million in players to buy us out of the league? after all why take control ?
Would we be better off with a true pauper in comparison but with a lot more commitment? someone like Nigel Doughty for instance (£119 million ans 41st on the list) owner of Nottingham Forest who has spent a reputed £42 million on forest (spent quite a lot to get them in the play offs this season especially).
Doughty loves Forest and has opened his wallet to prove it.....will Lakshmi do the same?

We've been linked with some good names to be fair. Speroni, Hooper, Pratley, Clyne are all very good at this level. Ok, there have been some unispriring names too mate, but it's what happens at this time of year. There's no doubt we'll sign some tallent. It's very early days and the window doesn't open for three weeks.

yep understand that and NW could just be getting all the free transfer squad players wrapped up..
but this is going to be a tough league to get out of next season and i really think that we need to see some ambition and commitment from our owners...
      just not feeling the love
already shown with the season ticket pricing that they are not really on the ball as far as the fans are concerned

I think next season could be the easiest in a while. There could be a few decent sides starting with minus points.

I understand what you mean though. I think the problem is, we've been waiting so long for a bunch of good signings, and now we're becomming impatient. I'm just glad we've got the World Cup to distract us. Who knows, by the end of it, England could bd World Champions and QPR might have a CCC winning squad

face facts,we are not going to attract top players with our recent history of sacking the manager every few weeks.i don't beleive we need to sign proven names,we just need to get the team playing for qpr and not themselves;simple really

This isnt a great post, why throw a question up there that bring on more negativity,

how can anyone criticise the Mittals

they took over at the end of feb, they brought in a proven manager at this level immediately that kept us up comfortably.

Warnock has constantly said he cant wait to bring in his own team, so he has obviously been told he has backing.

if we dont go up next year it might not be down to the mittals but there is too much negative stuff on here!!! back them come on everyone

at the end of the day, having the mittals in charge is far, far better than having flavio in charge. im happy.

Totally agree .. We now have a steady ship with what appears to be supportive owners and a manager that is proven at this level and beyond (well almost)...

I believe we have the best foundations in place now for the start of next season more than we have done for many years previous.

Just remember all these players mentioned (both good and bad), are in the majority, pure speculation ...... Let's just wait and see ......

There is no budget as such because with their wealth they don't need to worry about one and they don't wanna be ripped off by stating one!!

I have total faith in them and the Manager to achieve their and the fans aim.

Let the good times roll, We are gonna be in the mix come next May.

think this comes back to the old story imo anyway that just because our owners are worth x amount and are 4th or whatever in rich list, does not mean they should splash personal cash - its should be about making QPR a viable self funding operation, with sensible long term investment to move the club on.

Last chance salon for QPR fans, if Mittals get heavy pressure from fans because we are not in the top 6 because we feel we have some divine right, with 12,000 loyal fans, then we are up s.hit creek, if they leave.

                              We have to be patient.
