Robinson won't be considered but then I guess you know more than Mr Capello.
I agree James has improved but he is a much better overall keeper.
Robinson can't distribute the ball without the big hoof, yes suits blackburn but I don't want him doing the same for england. Oh and when he saves it he has a great nack of setting up the opposing centre forward, I can tell you now Benny that he won't be considered, just my opinion.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I don't rate Downing, but he's the only decent, naturally left-footed player we have on the wing. Also, to be fair to him, he's not had a bad season.
I'd consider leaving a CB out to bring in one of the following...
Carrick - Not great, but good defensive midfield cover. Plus Barry is injured.
A.Young - Can play left or right wing, has pace, can score and can change the game.
Crouch - Rooney is a worry, so I don't want to be left light up top.Your mum would love me...

My Squad of 23
Green
Robinson
Hart
Neville (G)
Johnson (G)
Terry
Ferdinand
King
Dawson
Cole (A)
Jagielka
Carrick
Lampard
Gerrard
Wright-Phillips
Lennon
Johnson (A)
Milner
Crouch
Rooney
Defoe
Heskey
Cole (C)
Capello will probably take Carragher in front of Jagielka, Joe Cole instead of Adam Johnson and Walcott in front of Wright-Phillips though and possibly Hart instead of Robinson or James. I'd definitely take Robinson ahead of either of those due to experience and fitness.Last edited by Guest; 10-05-2010, 02:49 PM.

I'm just pointing out a 'fact' mate, as you like to deal with them yourself. Robinson has had a better season than Green 'fact'. Robinson has had a better season than James, 'fact'.
Of course, I'm not saying that he'll certainly go, but this thread was asking who would be in my England squad for the 2010 World Cup. I know mate...our knowledge isn't as good as yours. We've not plyed a high enough standard, so what do we know? Who do you reckon Liverpool will get in next seasons Champions League?
It seems I'm not the only one who is of this opinion, but feel free to argue with me.Your mum would love me...

I bet mine will be pretty close to what Capello picks aside from the preferences I've indicated.
Know for a fact that Capello rates Robinson highly now that his confidence has returned.
FFS - you've got Zamora and Lescott!!!Last edited by Guest; 10-05-2010, 02:58 PM.

Benny I can't argue with your prediction.
You said spurs and you was spot on.
I do think Torres injury had an effect on liverpool but Spurs did deserve 4th spot on performances and you got that spot on. No need to mention that I have played at a higher standard than most, not all great players make good managers.
I do think I have a better ability to judge players.
Good job you didn't have a blackstock bet like I have with Pete as you would also owe me 15 pounds.I played sunday league football today.

I do rate him though.

A few people seem to be leaving James Milner out.
He'll be on the plane, and so he should.Final Version - Hope you like it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1z0UQ0eqRM

Lescott is a good shout too, but for the same reasons as Jagielka, he won't go.
Also, Zamora and Hesky ahead of Bent who's a consistant Premiership tallisman?
Carrick over Barry?
No natural left winger?
Parker is good, but do you honestly think he'll go?
It's your squad, so I won't give it all that about you knowing more about the squad than Capello, but you shouldn't critticise others when you pick a squad like that. No balance at all.Your mum would love me...
