was looking through the sunday papers at home in Airdrie and we're strongly linked with this guy from Hibs - said a transfer figure had been agreed and the transfer looked to be a done deal - was there anything in the papers down home to confirm this ? have asked the lads at work and he's seemingly a quite decent striker

Not the kind of striker we should be going for if we're serious about going up....has a poor first touch and is forever running off-side!!

hopefully it's just newspaper talk then - although the guys at work did say he didn't do much at Celtic - and to be fair if you can't score for Celtic or Rangers up here - you'll probably not be much kop in The Championship - will update the board if anything else appears in the papers on the situation

no mate nothing - but Celtic don't really link themselves to transfer targets - get too much stick from fans and media if they fall through !

We were linked to him and Antony Stokes at some stage last season, I seem to recall. he scores a lot(Stokes as well) which seems to be a good thing for a striker. If Warnock wants him I bet he is good enough for his(Warnock´s purposes). (As a much needed squadstriker at least. What about a supersub??)

            Just my view.

He's already been with Celtic and had a bit of a falling out with Strachan. Not sure if he'd be welcomed back by the bhoys.

he would be a good signing for us, good technique and two good feet. Certainly better then what we have at the moment!

I would like QPR to take a chance on signing players from the Scottish Leagues. They are not too expensive and some of them adapt very well to the game in England.

He might be good, just like McCormack was at Cardiff, or Dorrans at WBA, Adam at Blackpool, Scotland at Swansea etc.

riordan was complete sithe for celtic...could'nt figure in strachans plans even when v.o.g was playing so poorly-his scoring record was second rate against the better teams in the spl. Best left where he is imho

Not as good as you'd believe, but he'll still get goals.

Has "issues" apparently. Plus he couldn't hit a cows @rse with a banjo during his time at Celtic. Avoid.

Agree, for one reason or other he didn't cut the mustard with celtic. However he's been in top form for hibs this season, and we wouldn't have to pay sill money for him. Wouldn't be a bad punt imo
